Kyle Richards Says She Wanted To “Kill” Mauricio Umansky For Getting Daughter Alexia Involved In Special Forces

Kyle Richards was not exactly thrilled when she found out Mauricio Umansky and their daughter Alexia Umansky were taking on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test together.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star admitted she was upset and worried after learning that her estranged husband and daughter would be competing on Season 5 of the intense military-style reality competition series.

“My first thought was, ‘I’m going to kill you, Mauricio,’” Kyle told Page Six on Tuesday, August 4. “I was actually not happy at all. I was so worried about Alexia.”

Mauricio, 56, and Alexia, 36, are among the Season 5 recruits taking on the grueling Special Forces course in Malaysia. They will compete alongside other celebrity recruits including Collin Gosselin, Candace Cameron Bure, Brandi Glanville and George Santos.

Kyle said she was not as concerned about Mauricio’s ability to handle the experience, but she was extremely worried about Alexia.

“I knew that [Mauricio] would do well or whatever, but I was really worried about my daughter,” Kyle admitted.

Kyle also said she did not like the idea that Alexia had been pulled into such an intense show.

“I didn’t like that she got sucked into that,” Kyle said.

The RHOBH star revealed that she kept reaching out to producers while Mauricio and Alexia were filming because she was desperate for updates.

“I kept texting the producers saying, ‘Please, I need updates. Is my daughter OK? Is Mauricio OK? Just give me something,’” Kyle shared.

According to Kyle, the experience caused her major stress while the father-daughter duo was away filming.

She said she had “a lot of sleepless nights” during their time in Malaysia.

Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test follows a group of celebrities as they attempt to complete a military-style training course led by army veterans. The show is known for pushing stars through physically and emotionally demanding challenges, with recruits trying to survive the process known as “selection.”

Kyle and Mauricio separated in 2023 after nearly three decades of marriage. The former couple share three daughters together: Alexia, Sophia and Portia. Mauricio is also stepfather to Kyle’s oldest daughter, Farrah, from a previous marriage.

Lisa Barlow is making it clear that reunions are where she shines.

The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th cast is opening up about one of the most intense parts of being a Housewife: reunions.

Teresa Giudice, Kyle Richards, Vicki Gunvalson, Luann de Lesseps, Gizelle Bryant and Lisa Barlow recently sat down with Andy Cohen on SiriusXM to promote The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th, where the women discussed whether they dread reunions or secretly enjoy them.

Andy kicked off the conversation by asking the women if they dread reunions or enjoy them, noting that Cynthia Bailey has previously said she loves reunions.

Kyle was immediately surprised.

“I’ve never heard someone say that,” Kyle said.

Vicki Gunvalson explained that her feelings about reunions usually depend on how the season went.

“If you had a good season, you don’t mind it, right?” Vicki said.

Gizelle Bryant admitted that she used to dislike reliving the drama after it already happened, but her perspective has changed.

“I like doing the scene or whatever happened, I want to be done with it,” Gizelle said. “I really don’t like talking about it again and reliving it, but I have come to actually love them.”

Andy seemed surprised and asked, “You have?”

Gizelle confirmed that she has grown to enjoy the reunion experience.

Andy then joked that Potomac reunions have become especially fun in recent years.

“Well, yours have gotten especially fun over the last few years for some reason,” Andy said. “I don’t know why.”

Kyle was still not buying the idea that reunions could be fun.

“A reunion. It’s fun?” Kyle asked.

Andy replied, “It’s a bit of a Kiki.”

Gizelle explained that the Potomac women can appreciate the shade together.

“I think the girls appreciate the shade,” Gizelle said. “You know, we’re all in the shade together.”

Kyle joked that Beverly Hills has not had that same experience.

“Oh, well, that’s nice because we’ve never had a fun reunion,” Kyle said.

Luann de Lesseps said that while reunions are long days, she has always looked forward to them because they give Housewives a chance to explain themselves.

“It’s a long day, but I must say I was always looking forward to them because, you know, when you want to say something that happened about a scene, you actually get to give your perspective and say, you know, this is how I felt, etc.,” Luann said.

Luann said reunions are a place where a Housewife can finally say what she could not say during the season.

“So, I feel like it’s a place where you can tell your truth, where you can be understood, you know what I mean?” Luann explained. “When you didn’t get a chance to get a word in edgewise.”

Kyle agreed, but pointed out that getting your point across is easier said than done.

“If you can get a word in edgewise,” Kyle said. “And also you don’t have everybody, you know, coming at you.”

Andy then turned to Lisa Barlow and said he could not imagine she likes reunions.

“Well, Lisa, I can’t imagine you like reunions,” Andy said.

Lisa disagreed and explained that she does not mind them because reunions give her clarity, even when she feels attacked.

“I don’t mind them because I feel like even though I’m the one under attack, there’s so much clarity,” Lisa said.

Lisa then made a very bold claim about her reunion performance.

“I feel like I win every reunion,” Lisa said.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star said she comes prepared with receipts and stands behind what she says.

“I literally, I’m like an accountant,” Lisa explained. “I have all the receipts. If I say it, it happened.”

Kyle then compared the reunion experience to being in a boxing match.

“It does feel like as you’re going through it, you’re like, you know, people come up and be like, ‘You’re doing great. You’re making good points,’” Kyle said. “It’s literally like boxing when you get counted down.”

The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th cast is pulling back the curtain on what really goes down during confessional days.

While sitting down with Andy Cohen on SiriusXM to promote The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th, Teresa Giudice, Kyle Richards, Vicki Gunvalson, Luann de Lesseps and Gizelle Bryant opened up about filming confessionals — and not everyone feels the same way about them.

Andy asked the women how they view confessional days, noting that some Housewives hate filming them.

Luann did not hesitate.

“Torture, torture, torture,” Luann said.

Teresa, however, has a very different approach.

“I don’t mind them,” Teresa said. “I make it like a date night afterwards.”

Andy pointed out that Teresa is already fully glam by the time confessionals wrap.

“Oh, you’re all done up,” Andy said.

Teresa explained that she makes the most of it.

“I go out with the girls, you know, my husband,” Teresa shared.

Gizelle also admitted that she actually enjoys confessionals.

“I love it,” Gizelle said.

When Andy asked if she really loves it, Gizelle confirmed she does — because it gives her a chance to say exactly what she is thinking.

“Yes, I do,” Gizelle said. “I sit there and I trash everyone and I laugh and it’s amazing.”

Luann joked that she takes a more polite approach.

“And I try to be polite,” Luann said.

Kyle then explained why confessional days can be so draining. According to the RHOBH OG, they feel similar to reunion days because the women are fully dressed up and stuck in a chair for hours.

“You know, you’re sitting in a dress like the reunion all day in a chair,” Kyle said.

When Andy asked how long the interviews usually last, Kyle simply said, “All day.”

Vicki added that the glam process itself is already a major time commitment.

“Two hours of hair and makeup,” Vicki said.

Luann said the entire process can take around six hours.

“It’s like a six-hour day,” Luann shared.

Andy then asked how many confessional days the Housewives usually film per season.

Kyle explained, “I think we do three looks, and each look like four times.”

Luann added that for Ultimate Girls Trip, they did even more.

“This one, we did like five,” Luann said.

Kyle also explained one of the trickiest parts of filming confessionals: the timing. The producers may ask them about drama that already happened weeks or months earlier, even though the relationships may have changed by then.

“They’re also asking you about people and that you’re like, still mad at now, that you made up on,” Kyle explained. “They’re asking you when you were being nice, and you’re like, ‘I don’t like her right now.’ Or vice versa. Like, ‘I already forgot about that fight.’”

Luann said watching confessionals later can be just as shocking, especially when you thought things were good with someone.

“Oh, what about watching them on TV?” Luann said. “It’s like, ‘I thought that bitch liked me.’ You know what I mean?”

Vicki joked that sometimes she feels like filming confessionals is a waste of time because production will not use everything anyway.

“They’re not going to use it all right,” Vicki said. “I’m wasting time here. I got to get going.”

Luann agreed that the worst part is realizing someone was saying things behind your back while you thought the relationship was fine.

“That’s the worst,” Luann said. “You’re thinking you have a good relationship, and you know, talking behind your back.”

Teresa then revealed a production tactic that longtime Housewives fans have probably suspected for years.

“They ask us the same question over and over and over again to see if we say it different ways,” Teresa said. “And then they use the juiciest one.”

The conversation gave fans a funny but very real look at one of the most important parts of making Real Housewives.

Confessionals may look effortless on television, but according to the women, they involve hours of glam, long interview days, repeated questions and plenty of shade.

Porsha Williams is ready for NeNe Leakes to bring her energy back to The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

While attending the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip 20th Anniversary Event on Tuesday, August 4, Porsha spoke exclusively with Us Weekly about NeNe’s return to the Bravo universe and whether she hopes it leads to a full-time RHOA comeback.

“We’re very hopeful,” Porsha said when asked about the rumors that NeNe could potentially return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Porsha made it clear that she loves the current Atlanta cast, but personally, she would love to see NeNe come back.

“But you know, we’ve got a great cast,” Porsha continued. “But yeah, me personally, yes, I would love for NeNe to come back.”

NeNe’s Bravo return has already been a major topic among fans after she was confirmed for The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th, also known as RHUGT Season 6.

Rumors first started swirling in January that NeNe would be making a cameo on the anniversary special, before Andy Cohen later confirmed the news on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy.

The appearance marks a major moment for NeNe, who has been away from Bravo for several years after last appearing as a full-time cast member on The Real Housewives of Atlanta during Season 12.

Porsha told Us Weekly that it had “been a while” since she opened her door and saw NeNe standing there.

“It felt like right back at home,” Porsha shared.

According to Porsha, the two did not miss a beat.

“We haven’t skipped a step, didn’t miss a beat,” Porsha said.

She also joked that NeNe immediately brought the classic Atlanta energy fans know her for.

“And of course she was like, ‘I gotta gather you real quick. Let me get you together,’” Porsha said. “You know what I mean?”

For Porsha, that is exactly what has been missing from RHOA.

“Like, that’s the energy that Atlanta has been missing, and I’m glad we could bring that to Ultimate Girls Trip,” she added.

NeNe’s possible RHOA return has been heavily discussed since her Ultimate Girls Trip announcement, especially because of her complicated history with Bravo.

NeNe sued Bravo and Andy Cohen in 2022, alleging the network fostered a hostile and racist work environment. She later dismissed the lawsuit without prejudice months later.

Because of that history, many fans were surprised to see NeNe return to the Bravo universe at all.

There have also been rumors about RHOA Season 18 casting, though recent reports have claimed no official contracts have gone out yet and that Bravo has not made final decisions about who will return.

Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly are showing support for Amanda Frances after her short-lived run on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills came to an end.

Amanda, who joined RHOBH for Season 15, confirmed on Instagram that her “time” on the show is “complete” after reports surfaced that producers did not ask her back for Season 16.

Following Amanda’s announcement, Kathy Hilton commented with a supportive message.

“The best of luck to you!!!” Kathy wrote. “I’m excited to read your new book. i hope your having a great summer and enjoying your beautiful family.🙏🏼🥰😍💕”

Jennifer Tilly also reacted to Amanda’s departure and praised her as she moves on from the Bravo series.

“Amanda, Good luck on your journey going forward,” Jennifer wrote. “I can’t wait to read your new book! You are so funny and sweet and smart. We will miss you. ❤️”

The comments come after TMZ reported that Amanda was not asked to return to RHOBH for another season. Sources close to the show claimed producers decided not to bring the Season 15 newbie back for Season 16.

Amanda’s exit follows a rocky rookie season, where she clashed with Dorit Kemsley and found herself at the center of criticism from Bozoma Saint John, who accused her of building a “cult” through her business.

The decision may have come as a surprise to Amanda, who recently said she believed there was a “good chance” Bravo would invite her back, though she also admitted she was not sure she would accept the offer if it came.

Amanda addressed her exit in a lengthy Instagram statement, writing, “My time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is complete.”

She reflected on the experience as one of the boldest choices she has made.

“Saying yes to this show was one of the boldest, wildest, most clarifying things I’ve ever done,” Amanda wrote. “And I am genuinely grateful—”

Amanda then thanked the viewers who connected with her during her time on the show.

“Grateful for the experience. The women. The viewers who saw me, rooted for me, challenged me, quoted me, misunderstood me, defended me, found my work, bought my books, or simply watched me try to explain metaphysics in a room full of diamonds and side-eyes.”

She joked that her time on RHOBH felt like a higher calling.

“It was a ministry, honestly.”

However, Amanda made it clear that she already had a full life before joining the show and is now focusing on that.

“But I came into this experience with an already-full life,” she wrote. “And right now, that life is asking for all of me.”

Amanda shared that she is releasing her book, Holy F*ck, on August 18.

“On August 18, I am releasing Holy F*ck—a teaching memoir about God, desire, money, personal power, freedom, and becoming the woman you came here to be.”

She also noted that she is preparing for a major personal milestone.

“I am marrying the love of my life this fall,” Amanda wrote. “I am mama-ing my babies. I am creating, teaching, building, and continuing the work I have done for over 15 years: Making sure women that they can have it f*cking all.”

Amanda said that while Housewives gave her a platform, it also reminded her of the foundation she already had.

“And while this show gave me an incredible platform—” she wrote. “A platform is not the same thing as a foundation.”

She continued, “And of the greatest gifts of the experience was seeing just how strong my foundation actually is.”

Amanda also reflected on what she learned from being part of the Beverly Hills cast.

“Listen: Every room has something to teach you,” she wrote. “Some rooms expand you. Some challenge you. Some misunderstand you. Some show you parts of yourself you couldn’t have seen anywhere else.”

She added, “And some remind you who you already are.”

Amanda thanked Beverly Hills before signing off from her one-season run.

“Beverly Hills, thank you,” she wrote. “I am taking the clarity, the lessons, the plot twists, the spiritual warfare, and the occasional deeply unnecessary dinner party drama into all that God has for me next.”

She ended her message with advice for anyone watching her next chapter.

“And to anyone watching, please know: Your next move does not require anyone’s approval. Your evolution does not need a permission slip. And you can be grateful for an opportunity and know when it’s time to leave.”

Amanda closed with one final line.

Vicki Gunvalson is defending her daughter Briana Culberson and making it very clear that she does not want fans speculating about Briana’s marriage.

The Real Housewives of Orange County star spoke exclusively with Us Weekly at The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th launch event on Tuesday, August 4, in New York City, where she addressed the online chatter surrounding Briana’s life in Oklahoma with her husband, Ryan Culberson.

“There’s some bad crap on the internet,” Vicki said. “Ryan’s a perfect husband. Briana is a perfect wife. They have a perfect family, so everybody needs to shut up.”

Vicki said the speculation has been hurtful for Briana, especially because she lives a more private life now and has an online business.

“I mean, it’s really made Briana upset,” Vicki shared. “I just hope it all goes away because she’s got an online business and she’s very respected. And Ryan’s a great guy.”

Briana’s life recently became a topic on RHOC after her brother, Michael Wolfsmith, revealed during the July 30 episode that he has not seen his sister in nearly eight years.

Michael later explained the distance on Instagram, sharing that he had been living in Hawaii and now Spain.

“I was living in Hawaii and now Spain,” Michael wrote.

He said he had once tried to visit Briana when he was closer to Oklahoma, but claimed the timing did not work because of Ryan.

“A couple years ago, I said I wanted to visit when I was fairly close to Oklahoma, and she said it wasn’t a good time because of her husband, who I don’t get along with very well 🤷‍♂️,” Michael shared.

Michael later clarified that he does still communicate with Briana and Vicki.

He said he is in a group chat with both of them and that they “have friendly personal convos.”

“I would prefer if we could see each other in person!” Michael added. “We were sending each other pugs we want a couple days ago.”

While Michael’s comments sparked fan speculation about Briana’s marriage and family life, Vicki insists Briana is happy.

Just because Briana no longer films RHOC does not mean something is wrong, according to Vicki.

“They have four children. They’re happy. I’m happy. My daughter’s happy. That’s all I could want for my children,” Vicki said at The Lobster Club.

Vicki also addressed old RHOC footage involving Ryan, which some fans have revisited amid the renewed conversation about Briana’s marriage.

“I mean, there was a moment in time where he got back from war and he got angry at one person one time,” Vicki said. “But they’re now making something out of that. That was over 15 years ago.”

Vicki appeared to be referring to a 2013 RHOC scene where Ryan became upset with Lydia McLaughlin’s mom, Judy McLaughlin, for putting her feet on a couch during Vicki’s Winter Wonderland-themed party. Ryan later apologized for his behavior.

Briana was a familiar face on RHOC for years, with viewers watching her relationship with Vicki, her health journey, her marriage to Ryan and their growing family. But in recent years, Briana has stepped away from the Bravo spotlight and focused on her life outside of California.

The drama started after an Instagram clip surfaced from a recent episode of The Valley, where the cast discussed tension that began on Jax and Brittany’s podcast.

In the scene, Jesse explained that the issue started when Jax allegedly said on the podcast that he was going to “expose” Nia and Danny.

Jesse then said in his confessional that Brittany should have stepped in.

“Brittany didn’t stand up and say, ‘Come on Jax, relax,’” Jesse said. “Either way, you’re guilty by association.”

Brittany, however, pushed back hard in the clip and insisted she was not involved in Jax’s comments.

Brittany said it was “never” her and called Jax a “compulsive liar.”

She also said the idea that she was part of some bigger plan to come for Danny and Nia was “insane” to her.

Now, Jax Taylor is responding publicly and directly accusing Brittany of lying.

Jax Taylor commented on the clip and claimed Brittany did want him to go after Danny and Nia.

“Brittany you are a a liar,” Jax wrote.

He then alleged that Brittany called him while she was in Hawaii and told him to fly out and “take down” Danny and Nia.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum appeared on Bunnie Xo’s Dumb Blonde podcast on August 3, where she got candid about her marriage, their ongoing divorce and the alleged abuse she says she experienced behind closed doors.

“Obviously, I was in an abusive marriage,” Denise said. “It didn’t start out that way physically…Physically, emotionally, financially, all of it.”

Denise claimed Aaron became a completely different person after they got married.

“He was a completely different person than the person I married.”

Denise and Phypers tied the knot in Malibu in September 2018 after dating for less than a year. Looking back, Denise said she now feels like she was misled about who he really was.

When Bunnie asked if Denise felt “conned” by Aaron, Denise did not hesitate.

“Absolutely. Definitely,” Denise replied. “That’s the hardest part of it.”

Denise explained that she and Aaron were together for more than eight years and married for a little over six.

“We were together for just over eight years and married for a little over six,” Denise said. “I never thought I would ever be in this situation.”

Aaron filed for divorce on July 7, 2025, listing their separation date as three days earlier. In his filing, he requested spousal support, legal fees and several personal property items.

Denise said she now understands why people ask abuse victims why they did not leave sooner, but she said the situation was not that simple.

“Now I understand why people ask, ‘Why didn’t you leave?’ or say, ‘You should have known. You should have seen the signs,’” Denise said.

She added, “A lot of people ask me that, but I didn’t. I wouldn’t have married the person if I had.”

Denise claimed she has learned a lot about Aaron since their separation and said he initially appeared to be a very different person.

She described Aaron as someone who “seemed like a really good man” and said he was “very low-key,” a “guy’s guy” and “very nurturing” when they first got together.

However, Denise claimed things slowly changed.

Denise said Aaron became “verbally abusive” and described the alleged abuse as a gradual process.

“And it was a slow burn,” Denise said. “This wasn’t overnight. It was like slowly chipping away, putting doubts in my head about certain things.”

Denise also recalled the first time she claims Aaron allegedly became physically abusive.

“I’ll never forget the one time when he first hit me; I was so shocked,” Denise said. “I was like, ‘Oh, f—. There’s no going back from this.’”

She claimed Aaron “slapped me across my face.”

According to Denise, Aaron was so remorseful after the alleged incident that she ended up feeling bad for him.

Denise also said one of her biggest mistakes was allowing Aaron to become involved in her finances.

She claimed she agreed to let him help with her money and even added him as a signer on one of her accounts.

“He made me believe he was taking care of me and wanted to build a life with me,” Denise claimed. “I really felt like we were building a life together.”

Denise said her daughter Sami Sheen “saw right through” Aaron from the beginning.

The actress also claimed the alleged abuse eventually became normalized in their home.

“Our normal became where I would be hit or pushed down on the ground, or some threat of something, and that became almost my normal,” Denise claimed. “And I knew it was wrong, but I was so beaten down, and I didn’t know how to leave.”

Denise further claimed Aaron had guns and allegedly threatened her with them. She said she eventually moved out with her daughters while Aaron stayed in their leased home with his family, who had moved from Canada during COVID-19.

Denise said the final breaking point came when Aaron allegedly slapped her while she was still hospitalized after undergoing surgery.

“But when he did that to me, when I was that vulnerable, I knew, ‘He’s going to kill me,’” Denise claimed.

Denise said she gave Aaron an ultimatum, asking him to go to anger management and move his family out of their home. However, she claimed things only got “worse.”

She also claimed Aaron filed for divorce behind her back shortly after she underwent a 2025 facelift, and said she learned about the filing from her daughter Sami after the news became public.

Aaron has not publicly responded to all of Denise’s latest allegations from the podcast.
