Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton are taking baby steps to mend their fractured relationship.
After being estranged for almost a year following season 12 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the sisters, Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton and co-stars were spotted together.
Kathy and her baby sister Kyle Richards got together over the weekend to celebrate the upcoming wedding of their niece, Whitney Davis, who is the daughter of their middle sister, Kim Richards.
The sisters posed together for photos alongside their daughters at the event. While Kathy and Kyle were quite far away from each other in one photo, they did pose next to each other in a more intimate group shot.
Kyle shared photos of the event on her Instagram alongside the caption:
“My beautiful niece @whittlesdavis is getting married ?? A beautiful shower for our Whittles. So happy for you & @lukegrahamwhite.”
This is only the second time Kathy and Kyle have been spotted in the same room together since they battled it out at the season 12 reunion in October 2022.
Kyle and Kathy posed for a photo at Elton John’s 31st Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party in March. However, the two sat at different tables and did not interact at all after smiling for the cameras together.
At the time, a source told PEOPLE that the sisters and costars were “still not speaking.”
The source explained:
“Nothing has really changed since the reunion. They’re still not speaking. Nobody has made an effort to sit down and patch things up. Kyle is busy focusing on herself right now, and Kathy is doing the same. But they’re family, and each of them are supportive of the other and always will be.”
In December, Kyle and Kathy opened up about the status of their relationship while attending the People’s Choice Awards. Both admitted that they could be doing better at working on reconciling their issues.
“I have not talked to [Kyle] in a while,” the 64-year-old told Access Hollywood. “We’ve texted, but I have not talked to her for a while.”
Meanwhile, Kyle told Extra: “We could be better, but we are sisters, and at the end of the day, we always come together, but we could be better, and that’s what I want, that’s what I need in my life — to feel good.”
Kyle Richards is currently in the middle of filming season 13 of RHOBH. Kathy, on the other hand, has to film any scenes for the upcoming season, although several members of the cast have encouraged her to return to the fold now that Lisa Rinna has exited the show.
I’d really love to see Kathy and Kyle officially mend their relationship and put the drama from season 12 behind them, especially for the sake of their kids. Paris just had a baby, and Kyle hasn’t even met Paris’ son yet. Plus, Kyle’s daughter is getting married soon, as is Kim’s daughter. There are so many huge family events coming up, so it would be amazing to see these two back on good terms plus, I bet it would take some stress off their kids. The fact that Kyle and Kathy are in the same space for a family event is a huge step forward. Let’s hope we see these two back on good terms very soon!
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is expected to return for season 13 in late 2023 or early 2024.
