Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s divorce battle now includes a fight over her wedding ring.
According to court documents, obtained by TMZ, filed by Brittany in her restraining order case, the former Vanderpump Rules star allegedly sent Brittany an email telling her to stop asking about her ring and making it clear she would not be getting it back anytime soon.
The alleged email from Jax was sent on August 21, 2026, and read, “You are not getting the ring back till court … do not ask again.”
All signs point to the message being about Brittany’s wedding ring and matching band, which she claims are her separate property.
In the court filing, Brittany says the wedding ring and band are worth around $80,000 total.
The alleged email adds another messy layer to Jax and Brittany’s already explosive legal war, which has included dueling restraining order requests, allegations of abuse, accusations about parenting, claims of career sabotage and ongoing fights over money.
The ring drama has also already played out on The Valley.
Following their 2024 split, Brittany revealed during a June 2025 episode that she did not know where her wedding ring or band were.
“They’re not in the safe,” Brittany said at the time. “They’re nowhere in the house. Nothing. Don’t know where they are.”
In a separate episode, Jax later admitted he had the rings and said he had placed them in a safe. However, Brittany said she was not fully convinced.
Now, Brittany’s legal filing appears to show the ring dispute is still very much unresolved.
The timing of the alleged email is also notable. Brittany has recently accused Jax of years of alleged abuse in her request for a temporary restraining order, including claims of “coercive control, financial abuse, emotional and psychological abuse, gaslighting and even physical violence.”
She also alleged that Jax once threatened to “gut” her “like a fish” and accused him of degrading and fat-shaming her in front of their son Cruz.
Jax has responded by saying he takes responsibility for mistakes he made during what he called the darkest period of his life, but he also said there are allegations in Brittany’s filing that he “strongly dispute[s].”
Jax has since filed his own request for a restraining order against Brittany, accusing her of interfering with his business opportunities and claiming she cost him a $175,000 role on Special Forces.
Now, the wedding ring appears to be another flashpoint in their bitter divorce.
