Scheana Shay is reacting to Janet Caperna recently unfollowing her on Instagram, and it sounds like there is a lot more behind the move.
During an episode of Scheananigans, Scheana addressed the social media change after fans noticed Janet was no longer following her.
“You guys notice the things that I don’t even notice,” Scheana said.
She added, “I have a lot of followers and that’s not something I noticed.”
But while Scheana said she did not catch the unfollow right away, she did hint that boundaries may have played a role in where things stand today.
“There are a number of people who I’ve set boundaries with in the past year in my life and not everyone responds well to those boundaries,” Scheana explained on her podcast.
Scheana did not directly name Janet in that comment, but fans immediately connected it to the recent fallout between the two.
Scheana and Janet’s friendship appeared to take a major hit after Janet shared a personal story Scheana had told her about her husband, Brock Davies, cheating.
The situation only added more tension to an already complicated friendship. What was once a close bond in the Vanderpump Rules and Valley world started to look very different as private conversations became public and trust between them appeared to break down.
Then came more drama surrounding Nia Sanchez and Danny Booko.
Scheana publicly supported Nia and Danny after they announced they were leaving The Valley, commenting “PROTECT YOUR PEACE” under their post. Janet, meanwhile, raised eyebrows when she posted Taylor Swift’s “Karma” around the same time and later shared a smiling selfie with the caption “great night.” Janet never directly said the posts were about Nia and Danny, but fans quickly read into the timing.
