Dorit Kemsley Regrets Talking About PK’s Parenting

Dorit Kemsley Regrets Talking About PK's Parenting

In a candid moment during The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14, Episode 10, Dorit Kemsley opened up about her complex feelings regarding her estranged husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley’s parenting. The scene unfolded at a dinner hosted by Kathy Hilton, where Dorit, Erika Jayne, and Bozoma Saint John gathered to chat. The conversation naturally drifted to Dorit’s separation from PK, and her past defense of his parenting style.

At one point, Kathy asked Dorit if she thought PK was a good father. To Kathy’s surprise, Dorit quickly responded with a firm “Wrong,” admitting that she didn’t feel that way anymore. “I would’ve, ordinarily. Protecting him I would. In reality? No,” Dorit shared.

This remark sparked a deeper reflection in Dorit. In her confessional, she admitted that, while she has often believed PK is a great father, she had reservations. “There are times that I think PK’s the greatest father in the world. But is he the most hands-on father? The truth is, no,” she said, revealing that PK would sometimes disappear for weeks without checking in with their children. Dorit shared how she would go to great lengths to assure their kids that their father was trying to stay connected and was missing them, despite his lack of involvement.

Later, during The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Dorit clarified that while she didn’t think PK was a “bad father,” her comments were influenced by emotions stirred up in the moment. She had recently received a long, emotional email from PK, which may have led to her expressing her feelings more harshly than she intended.

“No, I don’t think PK is a bad father. Yes, I think he’s a good father. But he’s not the most hands-on,” Dorit explained. “There are many different ways to be a good father, and I feel very lucky that my kids have PK as their father. Everything I do, especially in our separation, is always for the best interests of our children.”

Despite her belief in PK’s overall fatherhood qualities, Dorit Kemsley expressed regret over her dinner conversation. She admitted that she didn’t feel great about what she said the next day. Reflecting on her words, it became clear that while she acknowledges her husband’s shortcomings in parenting, her priority has always been her children’s well-being.

Dorit Kemsley and PK share two children together—son Jagger, 10, and daughter Phoenix, 8—and despite their complicated relationship, Dorit remains committed to ensuring they receive the love and support they need from both parents.

I think many of the comments are really harsh. When I watched it, the moment she said those words, I knew she would regret them. She has never spoken poorly in the past. She hurts and hurt words get spoken. According to what was said, it came on the heels of a long-winded and hurtful email/text. I found PK's words very calculating and hurtful in his interview, he did a few weeks back with Mo. There are more marriages that end in fighting words between the parents than not.

He's a louse, but so is she. The two of them laughed while they tortured a puppy on the air. After the kid grow up, I hope they both end up in the gutter, where they belong.

Ten year mark in their marriage or not, if it's true that throughout the years, PK has been "disappearing for weeks on end", then he better be prepared to hand over half his wealth (supposedly around $50M), because that in itself is a dealbreaker

I thought he was a compulsive gambler. Didn't he owe a ton of money to some hotel in Las Vegas?

I seem to recall that as well. Apparently PK has all around addictive tendencies.

Dorit keeps her lips moving to practice the 37 fake accents. He’s not a good Father, he’s not a bad Father, oh puhleeze, shut her up!

What a mean-spirited, nasty and destructive thing for her to do. She not only criticizes (humliates!) him publicly to build herself up, but because it is public, her children will read and know all of this. What impact does she think this will have on her children's relationship with their father? Dorit has to stop thinking about making herself look good and start thinking about the ramifications of her words, especially on the children she claims she wants to protect!

WTF is Bozo wearing on her neck in that video? Looks like a designer E-collar ordered by her vet to stop her from licking her injuries.

What IS that???? Are they supposed to be earrings?! I don’t understand! It looks like something Bronwyn would wear after drinking too much Mormon tea. ?

Looks like each franchise got a big box of “ designer” goods to wear on the show this season. Tassels and crepe paper flowers are back!

Biggo earrings for a biggo head on a biggo body. This Bozo is a one and done if there ever was one. All she does is sit around listening to Dorit, occasionally throwing in an "oof"~. Speaking of clowns, I just finally saw the hilarious SLC finale, guess I need to start catching up on the reunion.

She shouldn’t have said it publicly at least for the children’s sake, BIG no-no, BUT home girl was spittin’ FACTS (as the young’uns say ?). Still no excuse but truth is truth…?

If PK disappears for weeks on end and doesn't contact his children or wife during this time then he is indeed a lousy father. Money doesn't make a good father. Love does and that's usually done in person.
