Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp and her husband Edwin Arroyave are separating after 13 years of marriage. It has been confirmed that Teddi Mellencamp had an affair with her daughters horse trainer, Simon Schroeder.

Teddi’s husband Edwin Arroyave found out just last month through Simon’s wife Karli Postel .

Karli didn’t tell Edwin when she found out. She was willing to give Simon another chance and stayed with him. But last month, Karli found proof that the affair was ongoing and that it had become “emotional.”

‘Simon had a history of cheating and Karli was tired of being connected to him. Edwin only learned of the affair late last month when Karli told him.“

Since news broke out about the affair, Teddi Mellencamp has spoken out in an episode of her Two Ts In A Pod saying, “There’s multiple sides to every story. I’m not going to confirm or deny anything, but there’s many people involved, and I once again say the same statement I said before….the kids, they’re the priority and so for the time being, that’s all I’m going to discuss on this.”

Teddi and Edwin have three kids together Slate, 12, Cruz, 10 and Dove, 4.

Teddi continued, “We’re moving along, I just didn’t want to get the, ‘Oh, you’re such a hypocrite,’ comments. Small kids are involved, family members. You don’t want to throw other people under the bus.”

Teddi Mellencamp says there is so much that she isn’t ready to process or talk about or involve the kids in saying, “There’s always, in every situation, gonna be somebody who is vocal and someone who is not, and I know in my world of recapping Housewives, I’m pretty vocal,” she continued. “But when it comes to kids and other people’s lives that didn’t sign up for this or did sign up for this, I got to just take a beat.”

She says, “I’m still here, and I’m showing up for work, and I’m doing the best that I can.”

Since the confirmation of Teddi’s affair, rumors have been circulating that Edwin had an affair 8 yeas ago but that Teddi and Edwin both decided to move on.

It has been confirmed that Teddi Mellencamp had an affair with her daughters horse trainer, Simon Schroeder.

Teddi and Simon met when he began working with her 10-year-old. Teddi and Simon were also together in Florida while Simon’s pregnant wife Karli Postel was giving birth to their second child in California

‘Karli thought it was suspicious that her husband was in Florida when she was giving birth,’ the source told DailyMail.com.

‘When Simon returned, Karli found text messages on Simon’s phone that exposed the affair. She confronted Simon and Teddi about it and they confessed. Teddi promised it would not happen again.’

Karli didn’t tell Edwin when she found out. She was willing to give Simon another chance and stayed with him. But last month, Karli found proof that the affair was ongoing and that it had become “emotional.”

The source claims that Teddi decided to file for divorce once she got caught in the affair.

‘She filed for divorce from Edwin so that he did not have the chance to file and get her for adultery. It has been alleged that the marriage ended because Edwin cheated on Teddi, but it is actually the other way around.’

On May 29, his wife congratulated her husband and Mellencamp on Toad’s success at a horse show. 

‘So beyond proud of Simon’s hard work with Teddi Mellencamp’s Totally!’ Postel wrote on Instagram.

‘Beautiful consistent rounds at the Devon Horseshow in the High Performance… a huge feat from where Simon & Toad’s journey began,’ she continued, before adding: ‘Can’t wait to watch Teddi take on the weekend.’ 

Teddi liked the post and follows Karli Postel on Instagram but Karli does not follow her back.

Following the separation announcement, Teddi Mellencamp staged a photo op via TMZ of her and husband Edwin outside of her house. In the photo Teddi appears to look down while her husband Edwin comforts her as she awaits a car holding onto a suitcase.
