Jeana Keough was an original cast member of The Real Housewives of Orange County when it first premiered. We saw her on the show as she navigated life as a mother and realtor. It turns out that she is still legally married to her husband Matt, despite her claims that they are divorced. Apparently they never officially divorced. According to The Blast, and court documents recently filed, Jeanna bought a 5 bedroom, 5.5-bathroom, home in Coto De Caza in 2014 for $1,975,000. Jeana’s estranged husband, Matt, was on the original deed and has now transferred it over to her. In the documents, Matt is listed as “spouse of grantee” and it states that he is transferring the home to Jeana, “a married woman” for her “sole and separate property.”
According to documents, the transfer says “assets between spouses pursuant to a judgment, and order, or a written agreement between spouses in contemplation of any such judgment or order.” Sources say that Matt never actually had anything to do with the home, and that he didn’t purchase the property. In 2016 Jeana sold a separate 8 bedroom, 3.5-bathroom home for $3.4 million. That was the home shown during her time on the RHOC. (She lived down the street from fellow RHOC OG – Vicki Gunvalson.) Prior to the sale, Matt transferred the deed of the property to Jeana and both are listed as spouses.
Orange County court records show that Matt filed for legal separation from Jeana in 2004 and it was granted. However; no divorce cases appear to be filed by either of them. Back in 2010, Jeana appeared in court when Matt was sentenced to a year in jail over a second DUI. She asked the court to not send him to jail and to instead sentence him to probation. During the hearing, she stated she was his wife but said that she was divorcing him.
Sources claim that Jeana was doing a refinance on the home and needed Matt to sign off so he wouldn’t be responsible for her loan. Jeana and Matt have been separated since 2000, but insiders say they do not speak much. I thought that Jeana was divorced for awhile now, and since their relationship on the RHOC was estranged – I assumed it would lead to them legally divorcing. Regardless; I wish them both the best. I hope Jeana makes an appearance on the RHOC soon! There have been some epic Real Housewives moments with her, I mean, who could forget Tamra Judge throwing a drink in her face? The RHOC ladies always bring the drama!
