RHOP’s Gizelle Bryant once said that her boo Sherman checked all of the boxes. We all know that Gizelle is a hard cookie to please so when she revealed she was head over heels for Sherman it seemed like a ring would be in their future. So what went wrong?

Opening up to Bravo’s The Daily Dish Gizelle states that:

“Sherman is a fantastic guy, like totally fantastic. However, I know I’m a lot to deal with. I get that. So the key to having a relationship with me is communication. “

During the most recent episode of RHOP Gizelle revealed that after over a year of dating the two just weren’t communicating stating:

“Sherman and I have huge communication issues, OK? So we agreed we’re going to counseling, we’re gonna make things better, I love you so much, yada, yada, yada. So I call him when I was coming over here, and he said, ‘I need another perspective to see whether or not we should even be in this relationship. I am here to try to fight to make this relationship work, and for him to not even try to meet me halfway makes me feel like I’m not even worth fighting for.”

Gizelle further revealed to the Daily Dish that, “throughout the intensity of our relationship, he kind of shut down and just would not communicate with me. So it’s just hard to go down a road knowing that a person just lacks the ability to communicate. So, you know, we had to go our separate ways.”

Adding some salt to the wound was the fact that her daughters had grown close to Sherman, so naturally they were disappointed when it didn’t work out between the two:

“My daughters were sad. And it made me really kind of want to work at the relationship harder than I would normally. Because normally, I’m like the Breakup Queen. Like, if you go to the bathroom at a restaurant too long, I might break up with you. So knowing that my girls loved Sherman, I really wanted to work on it a little harder. But it’s a good lesson for children to know that adults, sometimes it doesn’t work out and you move on, and hopefully they’ll like the next guy.”

So is Gizelle ready to date again? Perhaps – however our girl is proceeding with caution stating: “one day at a time, nothing serious. So we’ll see.”

I was sad to see Sherman and Gizelle split. Gizelle seems to have a tough time with men and the fact that the their two families had gotten to be so close makes it extra difficult.
