The tension on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has reached new heights, and it looks like Bronwyn Newport has officially had enough of Lisa. The latest drama unfolded after Angie Katsanevas revealed that Lisa had been “spreading nasty rumors about Todd as recently as a month before the cast yacht trip.”
For Bronwyn, this revelation hit a nerve. She and Lisa had previously agreed that family, especially husbands, were off-limits. So when Angie confirmed that “Lisa told her about an alleged indiscretion of Todd’s,” Bronwyn’s patience ran out. Rather than throw insults, though, the reality star decided to take the high road and walk away from the friendship. She even listened calmly as Lisa offered an apology, though forgiveness wasn’t on the table.
Andy Cohen summed it up perfectly on Watch What Happens Live, telling Bronwyn, “You seemed pissed that Lisa brought up the Todd rumor than pissed with the rumor itself.”
Bronwyn stopped by the late-night show to share her side of things, explaining that the situation was the last straw. “Yeah, for me it’s really just this is like the final example for me. Like I’ve always been like, ‘What’s going on with Lisa and I?’” she said. But now, she’s done wondering. “But I think we’re clear that Lisa is going to continue to do this to me. And I’m done done,” Bronwyn declared.
When Andy pressed her about Lisa’s apology and her vow never to mention Todd or Bronwyn’s daughter Gwen again, Bronwyn didn’t mince words. “Yeah I was pretty clear in the episode that I think it’s rude not to respond when someone speaks to you so I said, ‘Ok, thank you.’ But I don’t believe you,” she admitted.
Interestingly, while Angie was the one who brought the rumor to light, Bronwyn made it clear that there’s no bad blood between them. The two seem to have moved past the tension — and they even had an unexpected peacemaker.
“Angie and I have talked about it. You better watch out, Mary’s coming for your gig,” Bronwyn joked, revealing that “Angie and I had a little tiff the other day and Mary put us on a three-way call. She made us apologize to each other. Mary’s the new mediator.”
It’s safe to say that while some relationships in Salt Lake City are crumbling, others are finding their footing — with a little help from Mary Cosby’s newfound role as peacekeeper.
