Andy Cohen is revealing how much he pays his babysitter, and Jeff Lewis thinks he may need to raise the rate.
During Monday’s episode of Andy Cohen Live, the Bravo host was chatting with longtime friend Jeff Lewis when the two compared what they pay their babysitters.
Andy, who is dad to son Ben, 7, and daughter Lucy, 4, shared that he pays his 23-year-old babysitter $30 an hour.
Jeff immediately reacted, calling the rate “cheap.”
“That sounds cheap to me,” Jeff told Andy. “Especially from someone with your money.”
Jeff then questioned whether the amount was enough after Andy explained that his babysitter had recently watched his two kids for a short period of time.
“She was there for two hours, and you gave her 60 bucks?” Jeff asked. “Did that even cover the cab?”
Andy clarified that the babysitter was actually there for two hours and 15 minutes, and he paid her $70.
Jeff still thought Andy should have paid more.
“I probably would’ve given her 100 for two hours, two kids,” Jeff said.
Jeff then revealed that he pays his babysitter $37 an hour to watch his 9-year-old daughter, Monroe.
Andy welcomed his son Benjamin in February 2019 and later welcomed daughter Lucy in April 2022.
Before becoming a father, Andy opened up on Watch What Happens Live about how much having a family meant to him.
“Family means everything to me and having one of my own is something that I have wanted in my heart for my entire life,” Andy said in December 2018, shortly before Ben’s birth.
He added, “Though it’s taken me longer than most to get there, I cannot wait for what I envision will be the most rewarding chapter yet.”
Now, Andy is deep in dad life with two young kids.
But according to Jeff, when it comes to babysitting rates, Andy may be getting off easy.
