During SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, Andy opened up about attending the Ultimate Girls Trip finale party at Dorinda Medley’s Bluestone Manor and revealed that his entrance was originally supposed to be much more dramatic.

“I loved Ultimate Girls Trip,” Andy said. “I think Porsha and Gizelle were like the Greek chorus we all didn’t realize we needed. They were so great.”

Andy said part of what made the season work was watching Porsha Williams and Gizelle Bryant slowly start to understand Vicki Gunvalson.

“You really saw them start to kind of get and appreciate Vicki,” Andy said. “And it kind of makes you as the viewer, it makes you kind of start to forgive her a little bit, I feel like.”

Andy then reflected on how surreal it was to finally walk into Bluestone Manor after seeing it on television for years.

“When I tell you that it was so surreal for me walking into Bluestone Manor,” Andy said.

But according to Andy, viewers did not see the original plan for his entrance.

“You saw me drive in in that 1920s car,” he said. “By the way, I was supposed to surprise them and land in a helicopter on the lawn.”

That did not happen because of the brutal weather.

“It was torrential snow and it was also below zero,” Andy explained. “It was so cold.”

John Hill joked that Andy looked like “a Monopoly man,” and Andy agreed, saying he was dressed in tails with his hair done.

Andy said production had him waiting at the bottom of Dorinda’s long driveway before putting him into a vintage car with no heat.

“They had me get in this car with no heat, by the way,” Andy said. “Of course, in this 1920s car. I had to learn how to drive it.”

Andy said the driveway was long, cold and fully filmed, but almost none of it made the final edit.

“They had me drive up this, by the way, her driveway is long,” Andy said. “And then of course when I saw the show, I was like, ‘Why’d y’all make me drive up that whole driveway in that cold car?’”

Andy said he was mic’d in the car and talking during the entire drive.

“They had me mic’d. I was talking in the car. They’re like, ‘You can say anything.’ I’m like, ‘This is so exciting. I’m doing a whole thing,’” Andy recalled.

But none of that footage aired.

“Well, I mean, none of it was shown, by the way,” Andy said.

Still, Andy admitted he understood why it was cut.

“I can’t complain. That’s, you know, that’s how the edit works,” he said. “It was much more interesting to see what was going on in the party than out of the party.”

Andy also revealed that despite Bluestone Manor being such a major part of Housewives history, he had never actually been there before.

“I had never,” Andy said after John Hill assumed he had visited before.

“I know. I had never been there,” Andy added.

The Bravo host said the experience was even more surreal because the party included Housewives from multiple cities.

Andy also revealed that the toast he gave during the finale was written on the way to Bluestone Manor.

“I wrote that speech on the way up there,” Andy said. “I was like, I want to make a toast. So, I wrote it. It was a long drive up there.”

Andy read the speech from his phone and admitted he wishes he had prepared more.

“I wish I had memorized it. I wish I had really done better with the speech, but it is what it is,” he said.

Once inside the party, Andy said he had fun pulling cast members aside for conversations and stirring the pot a little.

“I had so much fun pulling people aside for chats and stuff and like throwing a little wood into the fire,” Andy said. “It was just, it was really fun.”

Andy said he was only at the party for about 90 minutes before going into video village, but he did not want to leave.

“I was ready to stay and party,” Andy admitted.

For Andy, RHUGT delivered exactly what Bravo fans wanted.

“It was really fun,” Andy said. “That show was everything we wanted it to be.”
