Steve McBee Sr. of McBee Dynasty is back home with his family after being released from prison.
The 53-year-old Bravo patriarch shared his first public message on Instagram on Saturday, September 12, posting a video of himself returning to his farm in Gallatin, Missouri.
“A little more appreciation for the simple things in life….Thank you Lord for all the blessings in my life,” Steve Sr. wrote.
His son Steven McBee Jr. celebrated the reunion in the comments, writing, “Best 24 hours we’ve had in a long, long time. So many good memories to make and time to have together as a COMPLETE family!”
Steven Jr. had originally shared the news of his father’s release on Friday, September 11, posting a clip of Steve Sr. reuniting with his grandchildren.
Steve Sr.’s daughter-in-law Kacie McBee also showed support, writing, “We love & appreciate you!!”
Cole McBee marked the emotional family reunion by posting a photo of his dad holding baby Tate, who was born in August.
“So blessed to have the family back together,” Cole wrote. “Dad and Tate have officially got to meet now.”
Steve Sr.’s release comes after a difficult legal chapter for the McBee family.
The McBee Dynasty patriarch pleaded guilty in 2024 to one count of federal crop insurance fraud. Prosecutors said the case involved a multimillion-dollar scheme tied to federal crop insurance benefits he was not entitled to receive. According to the Department of Justice, the fraud involved false information connected to crop insurance claims, including benefits paid after double-cropping during the 2019 crop year.
Steve Sr. was later sentenced to 24 months in federal prison, followed by two years of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay $4,022,124 in restitution. Reports have also noted that he was ordered to forfeit $3,158,923 to the U.S. government.
The case became a major storyline around the McBee family, especially as Steven Jr., Cole, Jesse and the rest of the family were left trying to keep the farm and businesses moving forward while also facing the pressure of their father’s sentence and the multimillion-dollar financial fallout.
Steve Sr. previously began serving his sentence at a federal prison camp in Yankton, South Dakota. His early release had been discussed publicly by Steven Jr., who said earlier this summer that his dad was expected to get out sooner than originally anticipated.
Now, the family is focused on being together again.
