Steven McBee Jr. says there may be two very different versions of Steve McBee Sr.’s relationship with Masha being told behind the scenes.
During an exclusive interview with the Roxanne and Shantel podcast, the McBee Dynasty star opened up about his father’s relationship with Masha while Steve Sr. is in prison and revealed that what his dad tells Masha doesn’t always line up with what he tells his sons.
When asked what he thinks about Masha continuing to film while Steve Sr. is away, Steven admitted he isn’t quite sure what to make of the situation.
“I don’t really know what to think of it because, with all due credit to Masha, I feel like my dad tells her different things than what he tells us,” Steven said.
Steven went on to explain that he believes Masha is hearing one version of their relationship directly from his dad, while the McBee brothers are hearing something very different.
“I feel like Masha is being told things from my dad like, ‘I love you,’” Steven explained. “So he’s telling her different things than what he’s telling us, and that’s my dad.”
Steven then shared a recent story that left him and his brothers even more confused.
According to Steven, he and his mom recently visited Steve Sr. in Yankton to update him on what was happening with the family businesses.
“My mom went and visited him with me last weekend,” Steven recalled. “We drove up there just to give him a state of the business. It was more of a serious conversation of some things that were happening.”
While checking in for the visit, Steven says they happened to notice Masha’s name on the visitor sheet from the previous weekend.
“At the check-in sheet, we’re looking at the names from the last week and just happened to be looking. It wasn’t like we were actively looking for this,” Steven explained.
He says the sheet showed that Masha had recently spent several hours visiting his father.
“We seen Masha’s name from 8:30 in the morning until 3:00 in the afternoon for the weekend before,” Steven said.
But according to Steven, when Cole and Jesse later visited their dad, Steve Sr. gave them a very different impression of where things stood with Masha.
“Cole and Jesse went and visited him this weekend. He’s like, ‘Yeah, Masha and I, you know, we’ve emailed a couple times last month, but we really haven’t talked,’” Steven recalled.
His reaction?
“She was there the weekend before.”
Steven said the situation is classic Steve Sr.
Steven also questioned why his father doesn’t simply admit that he enjoys having someone in his life.
“I don’t know why he just doesn’t admit it. Like, he’s someone that wants a woman in his life,” Steven said. “And he tries to come off like he could just live his life with him and his dog Gunner.”
