The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is denying internet rumors that she was the unnamed friend connected to a disturbing story Hayden shared in her memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning, about allegedly being placed in bed next to an undressed famous man while on a yacht when she was 18 years old.

The story has resurfaced following Hayden’s heartbreaking death on Sunday, August 16, at the age of 36. People reported that the investigation into Hayden’s death remains active and ongoing, and that she was found in cardiac arrest when first responders arrived.

Months before her death, Hayden opened up about painful chapters of her life in her memoir and during an appearance on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast. One of the most shocking stories involved Hayden saying that someone she had grown to trust led her into a room on a boat and put her in a bed next to an “undressed man who was very famous.”

Hayden did not identify Diana Jenkins as the woman involved, but online speculation began circulating anyway.

Now, Diana’s team is making it very clear that she denies the allegation and is prepared to take legal action against anyone who claims otherwise.

“Diana has had to deal with false online rumours before, and sadly this is just another example of that,” Diana’s representative told TMZ. “So let me be 100% clear about this: It most certainly is not Diana, and anyone who claims it is her will be sued.”

Diana’s rep also pointed out that the former RHOBH star has previously taken legal action over false allegations made about her online.

The speculation around Diana appears to stem from her past connection to Hayden and her controversial 2009 photography book, Room 23. The book featured provocative photos of multiple celebrities, including Hayden, Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Bynes and George Clooney. Over the years, Diana has repeatedly denied ugly and unsubstantiated internet rumors tied to the book.

Diana also previously sued a blogger who falsely accused her of being a sex trafficker.

In Hayden’s memoir, she did write about her friendship with Diana, describing their age gap and saying Diana was nearly 30 years older than her. But Hayden’s mention of Diana in the book does not mean Diana was the unnamed person in the yacht story.

According to reports, Hayden later named the friend in the book as “Stella,” while still keeping the identity of the famous man private.

That detail is important because internet speculation has continued to run with theories despite Diana’s denial.

Hayden’s yacht story was one of the most disturbing parts of her memoir. She described feeling trapped, terrified and realizing no one around her was going to be empathetic to what was happening. The story became even more heartbreaking after Hayden’s sudden death, as fans revisited the many painful experiences she had shared in the months before she passed.
