Kyle Cooke is reacting after the Summer House bonus episode aired, and he is not impressed with West Wilson.

Following the June 16 Summer House bonus episode, Kyle took to Threads to share his thoughts on his sit-down with West, where the two discussed the fallout from West’s relationship with Amanda Batula and the impact it had on Kyle, Ciara Miller and the rest of the group.
Kyle made it clear that he felt West came into the conversation unprepared and failed to take real accountability.

“West asked me for the opportunity to talk in person. He came in without a game plan and hadn’t even watched the episodes (step 1 in taking accountability when you’re on tv). He didn’t even plan on behind honest about Meija until I dragged it out of him. Only thing I learned is that he isn’t man enough to look me in the eyes, and he doesn’t know what love is because even that answer he gave was a circular reference,” Kyle wrote.

The conversation aired after a season of intense drama surrounding Amanda and West’s romance. Amanda and West confirmed their relationship in March after weeks of speculation, just months after Amanda and Kyle announced their separation in January.
The situation became even messier because West previously dated Ciara, who was once one of Amanda’s closest friends. The fallout dominated the Summer House reunion, with Ciara accusing Amanda and West of betraying her and Kyle having to process his estranged wife moving on with someone from their own friend group.
After Kyle shared his reaction, one viewer asked whether the episode’s edit made it seem like he went easier on West than he actually did.
“Was it just the editing or did you really go that easy on him?” the viewer asked.
Kyle responded, “Didn’t have the energy or interest to attack him. I wanted to be like Alan Cummings on Traitors and just be like, “the floor is yours”. But he can’t have a conversation of any substance all on his own.”
Kyle’s comments suggest he wanted West to explain himself without needing to be pushed, but he felt West was unable to have a meaningful conversation on his own.
Still, Kyle calling out West for not watching the episodes sparked an important point. On the same bonus episode, Amanda also admitted she had not been watching the show.

During the Summer House reunion, Amanda revealed, “I haven’t been watching the show, but I watched past seasons. I have not watched this.”
Kyle previously reacted to that confession by saying, “It kinda feels like a cop-out not to watch.”
He also later wrote on Threads, “The fact that Amanda and West didn’t watch pissed me off.”
That detail is important because while Kyle is now calling out West for failing to watch as part of taking accountability, Amanda made the same admission during the reunion. Amanda explained that she stopped watching because the online backlash had become too difficult for her to deal with.
“When I watch the episodes, I can already pinpoint everything that everyone is going to say about me online,” Amanda said. “And that has been very difficult for me to deal with.”
She added, “I’ve stopped watching the episodes because I cannot handle the idea of thinking about all the nasty s*** people are going to say [online] about me afterwards. I had to stop watching them.”
