Calah Jackson is now weighing in after the public fallout between Steven McBee Jr. and his girlfriend Allie Eklund, and she’s sharing her own perspective based on their past relationship.
After Steven accused Allie of inappropriate behavior during Stagecoach and later apologized for how he handled the situation, Allie responded with a statement of her own, calling his actions “extremely unfair” and alleging a pattern of behavior. Now, Calah, who previously dated Steven and appeared on McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys — is speaking out as the situation continues to unfold online.
Calah first addressed the situation in a TikTok video alongside friends, using a pointed caption that referenced her past relationship.
“You seem happier,” the caption read. “Thanks, I finally broke up with the guy who told me I shouldn’t be sad about my sister dying bc ‘it’s not like she died in a car accident.’”
She added, “is it clocking to you yet?”
In a follow-up statement on Instagram, Calah explained why she chose to speak now after previously remaining silent.
“I’ve stayed quiet on this topic for over a year since Season 2 came out to focus on my healing and moving forward,” she said. “But seeing everything come out now & the texts that were posted… what you’re seeing isn’t new behavior or circumstantial, it’s unfortunately who he is and just a small glimpse of what I experienced over the course of my 3 year relationship with him.”
She went on to describe her experience in more detail.
“On top of the emotional and verbal abuse I experienced, my character was publicly torn apart and false narratives were pushed about me. I chose to stay silent after the show aired because I felt completely defeated. I’m not sharing this for sympathy. I’m sharing it because my truth deserves to be heard too.”
Calah also shared alleged text messages between her and Steven, which she says reflect the dynamic of their relationship at the time.
Her comments add another layer to an already complicated situation that began with Steven’s initial claims and Allie’s response. As more perspectives continue to surface, the situation remains ongoing, with all parties now having publicly addressed aspects of their experiences.
