Andy Cohen is weighing in on the Summer House drama surrounding Amanda Batula and West Wilson — and he’s reminding fans to take a step back.
During a live episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, Andy addressed the intense online reaction following the pair’s relationship reveal, stressing that things may be getting a little out of hand.
“I do think it’s worth reminding everybody… that these are real people involved,” Andy said. “These are real people who are dealing with a lot.”
Co-host John Hill agreed — but also pointed out the reality of being on a show like Summer House.
“Listen, you sign up for a reality show, you sign up for the pile on sometimes,” John said. “If you’re going to play in people’s faces of beloved other people on the show…”
Still, Andy made it clear there should be limits.
“I understand. I’m just saying… there’s a middle ground,” he explained. “You can thread, but just know these are real people who are dealing with a lot.”
The conversation also touched on how messy the situation has become — especially given the relationships involved.
Andy admitted he was caught off guard by Amanda and West’s joint statement confirming their romance.
“I was surprised by the statement. I was surprised by what it said. And I was surprised by what it didn’t say,” he said.
“I have so many questions… and the reunion is coming up and, boy, do I have a lot of questions.”
He also shared that he feels for Ciara Miller amid the fallout, as fans continue to dissect how the relationship impacts their friend group.
With tensions rising online and the reunion looming, it’s clear Andy is preparing for answers — but in the meantime, he’s urging viewers not to forget there are real people behind the drama.
