After months away from Two T’s in a Pod, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum returned to the podcast this week with an update that, while not minimizing her ongoing health battle, offered a glimpse of progress in a different area: her emotional recovery.

“I’ve been doing a lot of therapy, a lot of rest, a lot of hanging with the family,” Teddi shared on the Thursday, January 15 episode. “A lot of trying to get myself together because, apparently, I’m struggling with massive PTSD.”

Teddi admitted that the realization didn’t come immediately.

“I didn’t really realize it,” she said. “So I’m starting to feel a little better. The cloud is lifting.”

Her comments come just one day after her father, John Mellencamp, gave a blunt and emotional update about her physical condition while appearing on The Joe Rogan Experience. Speaking candidly, he didn’t sugarcoat what his daughter is currently facing.

“She’s really sick,” John said, adding, “It’s not fu**ing fun. She’s got cancer in the brain, and she’s suffering right now.”

The juxtaposition of those two moments — Teddi describing mental clarity beginning to return, and her father emphasizing the severity of her illness — highlights the complicated reality of her situation. Progress, in Teddi’s case, isn’t linear or one-dimensional.

Teddi was first diagnosed with melanoma in October 2022. After undergoing multiple surgeries to remove cancerous cells from her back, her journey took a devastating turn when doctors later discovered tumors in her brain. Since then, she has undergone extensive treatment while stepping back from public-facing work to focus on her health and family.

Her absence from Two T’s in a Pod over the past several months hadn’t gone unnoticed by listeners, many of whom expressed concern and support. Teddi’s return — even briefly — felt significant, not because everything is resolved, but because she was ready to speak again.
