The Real Housewives of Miami star Larsa Pippen isn’t holding back when it comes to setting the record straight on the drama unfolding this season, especially when it comes to Lisa Hochstein and her boyfriend Jody Glidden.

In a candid interview with Decider, Larsa opened up about the ongoing tension, from uncomfortable text exchanges to hurtful accusations, and why respect is now non-negotiable in her friendships.
On Jody Glidden and the Texting Drama
Much of the season’s drama has centered around Larsa’s back-and-forth with Jody Glidden, Lisa’s boyfriend. Some fans (and Jody himself) questioned why Larsa seemed more direct with him than with other castmates’ partners—like Russell, Guerdy’s husband, last season.
Larsa cleared that up quickly.
“Well, I said two words to Russell last season. He just said, ‘Stop it, Larsa.’ It’s funny because I heard [Jody] say that I texted him first. That’s a complete lie. He texted me first.”
She made it clear this wasn’t just a misunderstanding—it crossed a boundary.
“It was just a lot of going back and forth. I’m not normally used to having to deal with my friends’ boyfriends. That’s kind of crazy, you know?”
The biggest difference between Russell and Jody, according to Larsa? The content and tone of the messages.
“There’s a night and day difference. I never really had a relationship with Russell. The things Jody was texting me were out of line. For my coworker, friend’s boyfriend to be texting me is kind of crazy.”
Larsa didn’t hesitate to call out what she sees as a bigger issue: men inserting themselves into the Housewives’ drama.
“The men should always stay out of it. It’s called Housewives for a reason.”
And if the men are that eager for camera time?
“I totally agree. If you want a spot on our show then put a dress on and try out.”
The Paparazzi Comment That Crossed the Line

While the Jody situation stirred up plenty of tension, it was Lisa’s paparazzi accusation that hurt the most for Larsa.
“I just feel like it was very hurtful, because I would never want to hurt someone that I spent time with.”
What really got to her was the betrayal of trust.
“I’m not one of those people that bashes ex-boyfriends, ex-husbands, friends that I’ve had in the past. It’s just not my personality.”
She emphasized how much self-worth now plays into how she handles conflict—especially on camera.
“This season, I feel like I respect myself so much that I’m not going to just sit there and let someone disrespect me. I’ve worked too hard to get to where I am to be disrespected like that.”
And for anyone misreading her intensity?
“Sometimes when I get frustrated or I get loud or whatever, it’s literally because I respect myself a lot and I want other people to respect me when they’re speaking to me.”
Is the Friendship with Lisa Salvageable?
While Larsa and Lisa seemed to patch things up during the now-famous cruise episode, the peace didn’t last long.
“We made up on the cruise. I felt like we were in a better place.”
But what followed online reignited the tension.
“Then just her commenting on social media and saying that like I’m the one that texted Jody first–she’s lied so much this season.”
Still, Larsa says she tried to move forward.
“I’ve apologized to her. I wanted to move forward. But at the same time, when is it going to be enough?”
In the end, Larsa’s expectations were simple.
“All I ever asked her to do was be there for me as a friend. I haven’t asked you for anything more. It shouldn’t be that complicated.”
