Janet Caperna is facing criticism from The Valley fans after her social media activity following Nia Sanchez and Danny Booko’s exit from the show raised eyebrows.
As speculation began circulating that Nia and Danny may not be returning to The Valley, Janet posted a photo with Taylor Swift’s song “Karma” playing in the background.
The timing immediately caught fans’ attention.
While Janet did not say the post was about Nia and Danny, many viewers felt the choice of song was telling considering the rumors that were swirling about the couple’s future on the show.
Then, once Nia and Danny officially confirmed they were leaving The Valley, Janet followed it up by posting a smiling selfie at night with the caption, “great night.”
That post has since been deleted.
To some fans, posting “Karma” while rumors were circulating and then sharing that it was a “great night” after the news became official came across as a not-so-subtle reaction to Nia and Danny’s exit.
Nia announced the couple’s exit on Instagram, making it clear that she and Danny were choosing their family and their peace.
“Hey Everyone,
We wanted to share a quick update that we will not be returning to ‘The Valley.’ We’re incredibly grateful for this experience but our priority is protecting our peace and our family.
We are fully committed to each other and our beautiful children.
We want to thank everyone for all the love and support you’ve shown us. Thank you to Bravo and the team for everything. We are looking forward to what the next chapter brings. 🤍
With so much love,
Danny + Nia”
The announcement came after a difficult season where Danny and Nia’s marriage, parenting, friendships and place in the group were all heavily discussed.
Us Weekly also reported that a source claimed producers “felt their relationship and dynamic with the cast was not as organic as other couples.” It is important to note that this was a reported claim from a source and has not been confirmed by Bravo, Nia or Danny as the official reason for their exit.
Still, fans were quick to rally around Nia and Danny, with many saying they respected the couple for choosing their children, marriage and mental health over another season of drama.
Several viewers also pointed out the irony of Janet previously taking issue with Danny Booko for liking negative social media posts about her when she felt she was at her lowest.
During the season, Janet expressed frustration over Danny engaging with content about her online. But fans have argued that Janet has also been active across Instagram, TikTok and Threads, where she has liked, posted and responded to content involving cast drama.
The Valley has always been built around messy friendships, marriages and conflict. But for many fans, the way Nia and Danny’s final season played out felt less like entertaining drama and more like watching a couple be pushed to their limit.
Now that they are officially walking away, fans are paying close attention to how the rest of the cast reacts.
And Janet posting “Karma” as rumors swirled, then saying it was a “great night” after the news was confirmed, only added fuel to the backlash.
