Brandi Glanville is weighing in after Denise Richards opened up about her alleged abusive marriage to estranged husband Aaron Phypers.
Speaking on Brandi Glanville Unfiltered podcast, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum reacted to Denise’s emotional interview on Bunnie Xo’s Dumb Blonde podcast, where Denise claimed Aaron became physically, emotionally and financially abusive during their marriage.
Brandi, who famously had major drama with Denise during their time on RHOBH, did not hold back when reacting to Denise speaking about the allegations publicly.
“That is so whack to be talking about that on a podcast,” Brandi stated.
Brandi and Denise have a complicated history. During Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Brandi claimed that she and Denise had slept together, which Denise strongly denied. The fallout became one of the biggest storylines of the season and led to a major divide among the cast.
According to Brandi, concerns about Aaron’s behavior were allegedly discussed when Denise was on RHOBH.
Brandi claimed that “everyone” was talking about “how aggressive” Aaron appeared to be with Denise during filming.
“It was like he would grab her arm and like, you know, just like… You know, like ‘Come on, let’s go. Don’t talk about that,’” Brandi claimed.
She continued, “Like, that was always, like, kind of, like, looming in the background, like people were saying it.”
However, Brandi still seemed to question Denise’s decision to speak about the alleged abuse on a podcast.
“But I just don’t think talking about it on… I mean…” Brandi said.
As the conversation about Denise continued, Brandi admitted she still has unresolved issues with her former RHOBH costar.
“I know things other people don’t know. A lot of things. And, um, you’ll read about it in my book,” Brandi added.
Denise recently made serious claims about Aaron during her appearance on Dumb Blonde, saying, “Obviously, I was in an abusive marriage.”
She claimed the alleged abuse became physical, emotional and financial, and said Aaron was “a completely different person than the person I married.”
Denise also said she felt “absolutely” conned by Aaron and alleged that he once slapped her across the face. She claimed Aaron was so remorseful afterward that she actually “felt bad” for him.
Denise and Aaron married in September 2018 after dating for less than a year. Aaron filed for divorce on July 7, 2025, listing their separation date as three days earlier.
The allegations are serious, and Aaron has denied wrongdoing in the past amid their ongoing divorce drama.
