Lindsay Hubbard is making it clear where she stands with Amanda Batula after the Summer House bonus episode aired.
Following the June 16 Summer House bonus episode, Lindsay reacted online on threads and revealed that viewers did not see the full conversation she had with Amanda. According to Lindsay, part of the exchange was left out of the final edit, including the moment she explained what she needs from people in her life moving forward.
Lindsay has been vocal in recent days about the fallout from Amanda’s relationship with West Wilson, especially after West was reportedly not asked back to Summer House. While Lindsay initially focused much of her criticism on West, fans questioned whether she was defending Amanda or giving her too much grace.
Now, Lindsay is saying that was not the case.
After the episode aired, Lindsay revealed what she claims did not make the cut.
“Not seen/didnt make the edit:
I told Amanda at the end of that convo, in order to be friends with me, I need my friends to show “integrity, character, and better decision making skills. And until that happens… unfortunately, there’s no place for people like that in my life.””
The comment makes it clear that Lindsay is not simply blaming West for the situation. While she has accused West of initiating the relationship with Amanda and manipulating the situation, Lindsay also believes Amanda needs to face consequences for her own choices.
That is something fans had been calling out after Lindsay’s earlier posts about West. Some viewers argued that Amanda should not be painted as a victim, especially after Ciara Miller publicly said Amanda was “always the victim” and claimed their friendship lacked reciprocity.
Lindsay previously responded to that criticism by saying her recent posts were focused on West because of his “recent/abhorrent comments and actions,” but added that viewers would see her thoughts on Amanda in the Aftermath episode.
Now, she is giving fans more clarity on what was said behind the scenes.
The Summer House drama stems from Amanda and West confirming their romance in March after weeks of speculation. The relationship shocked the cast because Amanda had recently separated from Kyle Cooke, and West had previously dated Ciara, who was one of Amanda’s closest friends.
Throughout the reunion, Amanda and West were questioned about their timeline, the secrecy surrounding their relationship and whether they understood how much damage it caused inside the friend group.
Ciara made it clear she felt betrayed by both of them, while Kyle had to process his estranged wife moving on with someone from their own circle.
Lindsay, meanwhile, has been especially frustrated with West after he made comments on his podcast about hoping a basketball game would air at the same time as the Summer House bonus episode. She accused him of trying to get people not to watch the show and slammed him for speaking negatively about the same franchise that gave him a platform.
