Amanda Batula is admitting she stopped watching Summer House after her romance with West Wilson went public, and Kyle Cooke is not impressed.

During part three of Bravo’s extended and uncensored Summer House reunion on Peacock, Amanda revealed that she had not been keeping up with the season as the fallout from her relationship with West continued to play out on screen.
“I haven’t been watching the show, but I watched past seasons,” Amanda said. “I have not watched this.”
The confession immediately raised eyebrows among the cast, especially because Amanda and West’s relationship has been one of the biggest storylines of the season. Their romance shocked fans and cast members after Amanda announced her separation from Kyle in January, and West had previously dated Amanda’s former close friend, Ciara Miller.
Kyle, who was married to Amanda for four years before their split, was visibly frustrated by Amanda’s admission.
“Do you plan on watching?” Kyle asked.
He then admitted that Amanda avoiding the season did not sit right with him.

“It kinda feels like a cop-out not to watch,” Kyle said.
Amanda insisted that she does plan to watch the episodes eventually and said she understood why the cast had strong feelings about her and West’s joint statement in March, where they confirmed their platonic connection had turned romantic.
“I will watch after this reunion or at some point,” Amanda said.
She then clarified that she was not trying to make herself the victim.
“I’m not playing victim again,” Amanda said.
That is when Ciara, West’s ex and Amanda’s former best friend, jumped in.
“Nobody is saying that,” Ciara fired back. “I think it’s just a reflection of how much you don’t care.”
Amanda pushed back and insisted that was not true.
“I do care,” Amanda replied.
Amanda then explained why she stopped watching, saying the online reaction became too much for her to handle.
“The internet has been dragging me,” Amanda said.
She explained that watching the episodes made her feel like she could already predict what fans were going to say about her once each scene aired.
“When I watch the episodes, I can already pinpoint everything that everyone is going to say about me online,” Amanda shared. “And that has been very difficult for me to deal with.”
Amanda said the backlash eventually became so overwhelming that she had to stop watching altogether.
“I’ve stopped watching the episodes because I cannot handle the idea of thinking about all the nasty s*** people are going to say [online] about me afterwards. I had to stop watching them.”
Still, the cast did not seem fully convinced by Amanda’s explanation. For Kyle, the issue appeared to be bigger than just Amanda protecting her mental health from online criticism. From his perspective, Amanda and West not watching meant they were not fully facing what the rest of the cast had to watch and process.
Kyle later made his feelings clear during a Live Chats conversation on Threads.

“The fact that Amanda and West didn’t watch pissed me off,” Kyle wrote.
The reunion has been a brutal one for Amanda and West, who have been grilled over their timeline, their secrecy and how their romance affected both Kyle and Ciara. Ciara has repeatedly made it clear that she felt betrayed by Amanda, while Kyle has had to process his estranged wife moving on with someone from their own friend group.
