The Real Housewives of Orange County is no stranger to drama, but the latest feud between Tamra Judge and Gretchen Rossi seems to go beyond the usual televised squabbles. In a recent episode, Gretchen alleged that Tamra had a past affair with a mystery singer, and the fallout has taken the drama off-screen and onto social media, where Tamra is making bold denials and deflections.
During the episode, Gretchen claimed that years ago Tamra had pursued a music career and, in that context, engaged in an affair with an unnamed singer. Gretchen even brought her longtime partner Slade Smiley into the conversation, saying, “Slade has an audio recording” tied to the situation. Slade then appeared on speakerphone and confirmed the story, though no actual evidence was aired.
Tamra Judge quickly took to Instagram to counter the claim, stating, “I did not sleep with a ‘boy band singer’ ever in my life! It’s a complete lie!” She added that she wouldn’t name the person in question, citing respect for his family: “I will not say his name out of respect for his family. I’m friends with his wife and they are both disgusted by Gretchen & Slade’s false accusations.”
While Judge positioned herself as the target of fabricated gossip, she didn’t hold back from launching accusations of her own. In the same Instagram response, she said flatly, “I think Gretchen has proven to be a liar. More to come next week.”
But Tamra didn’t stop there.
One follower asked her to “expose Gretchen’s IG likes of homophobia.” Tamra responded with, “I think that is a well known fact. It’s been all over social media for the past two years. It’s really gross. I’m sure I’ll get blamed for that too.”
This critique might come off stronger if Tamra herself hadn’t been previously entangled in similar controversies. Several years ago, her son Ryan Vieth posted a image on transgender child, calling gender transition “abusive brainwashing.” The caption read: “LET’S BE F—KING REAL, THE WORLD IS F—KED. COMPLETELY F—KED. The only thing that kid should be transitioning into is being a 6-year-old. Anything else is abusive brainwashing.” Tamra reportedly “liked” the post at the time, though she later distanced herself from the sentiment and apologized for his actions.
Whether there’s truth to Gretchen’s claims remains to be seen, but Tamra’s counterattacks raise just as many questions as they answer.
