Joe and Melissa Gorga Say Kathy and Rich Wakile Are Jealous of Them

Kathy Wakile Accuses Melissa Gorga of Selling Her Out to Stay on RHONJ

Oh, the Gorgas. If there’s one thing Joe Gorga and Melissa Gorga have mastered (aside from over-filtered Instagram selfies and pretending they’re not dying to get back on RHONJ), it’s playing the victim while trying to cast themselves as the neighborhood success story. Spoiler alert: no one’s buying it. Especially not the Wakiles.

Joe and Melissa Gorga Say Kathy and Rich Wakile Are Jealous of Them 4

On Melissa’s recent podcast episode that was equal parts delusion and desperation, Joe Gorga recalled a riveting (read: not) interaction with his cousin Richard Wakile. Apparently, Rich had the audacity to not roll out a red carpet when Joe waved at him from a dock—because of course Joe was sitting above Rich, both literally and metaphorically in his mind. Classic Gorga energy.

Joe dramatically recalled:

“I go, ‘Hey, Wakile, what’s up, man?’… I was going to say, ‘Hello, buddy. Welcome to the neighborhood… I was going to shake his hand right there, bury the hatchets…’”

But according to Joe, Rich wasn’t having it. He supposedly responded with:

“Oh yeah? That’s Mr. Wakile to you.”

And that’s where the story should have ended—a slightly awkward neighborly encounter. But when you’re Joe and Melissa Gorga, nothing is ever just that. Instead, Melissa took the opportunity to toss out a half-baked dig, asking,

“Didn’t the guy almost just get canceled?”

Melissa Gorga

This from the woman whose husband nearly did get canceled—for fighting a teenager at a high school wrestling match because his son was losing. Let’s not forget: Joe Gorga had to be suspended from games over that mess. But sure, let’s deflect.

The Gorgas went on, turning this minor neighbor moment into a full-blown self-congratulatory therapy session. Joe called a friend for backup (because apparently this interaction was that traumatizing), and the friend helpfully translated Wakile’s comment as:

“He was basically telling you to f*** off.”

And then came the crescendo of delusion:

“They hate us for some reason. You know, they’re just envious.”

Envious? Really?

This is where it gets ironic. Richard and Kathy Wakile have been thriving. Quietly. Gracefully. Successfully. Not only did they snag the lot that Melissa and Joe wanted on the same street (ouch), but they’ve also kept their dignity intact—unlike the Gorgas, who have practically been auditioning to get back on Real Housewives any chance they get.

The Wakile Family

And here’s the kicker: while Joe was trying to “be nice” from his docked throne, what he was actually doing was condescending. The whole “I was going to be sweet” routine is code for, I was going to pretend we’re cool even though I’ve trashed you publicly for years. Rich didn’t buy the act—and honestly, who would?

The Gorgas love to say everyone’s jealous of them. But maybe, just maybe, what they’re calling “jealousy” is really just people setting boundaries. Or refusing to entertain fake pleasantries from people who’ve spent years smearing them on TV. Funny how people who are supposedly so “over it” keep bringing it up on podcasts, right?

Here’s a thought: Maybe the Wakiles aren’t mad. Maybe they’re just uninterested. And that burns worse than any Bravo reunion ever could.

The Wakiles are not just jelly, they're consumed and obsessed. They got a taste of notoriety and celebrity, so it is understandable, but what I don't understand is why they would move in across the street from their competition to torture themselves. Trust and believe; none of these encounters with their cousins are just happenstance encounters.

Oh, the felon and the Lobster if there’s one thing Teresa Giudice and Luis Ruelas have mastered (aside from over-filtered Instagram selfies and pretending they’re not dying to get back on RHONJ), it’s playing the victim while trying to cast themselves as the neighborhood success story. Spoiler alert: no one’s buying it, except the brainless. There, fixed it for you! Keep hanging on Melissa's every word- it really shows how bothered the felon and the Lobster are. They are the ones who will be devastated if they are not recast because of their dire financial circumstance. They are broke! What happened to that restaurant Teresa was going to open? Now she's saying she's going to open a med spa with Adrianna! LOL, let's be serious here - no one will invest any money into any business with her. In fact all her business deals are in the toilet! She is the joke of reality TV and all she can do now is talk about Melissa and Joey not only on her podcast but now on Gia's podcast as well. Sad.

And, how many times have we heard the felon, Louie and the Teresa stans say Melissa and all of the other cast members are jealous of the felon? Melissa says one time that Kathy is jealous of her and she is probably right, because I think Kathy is jealous that Melissa's cookie line is doing so well and this site acts like Melissa committed 41 felonies.Oops, my bad.

Agreed. The green eyed monster rears its ugly head when ANY of these broads succeed in and ESPECIALLY beyond the show. I think a lot of them were blindsided by the success of Melissa’s cookie line, just like everyone was blindsided by the success of Bethenny’s Skinny Girl. It’s an EXCELLENT reminder of why covetousness is a sin. None of these broads have to worry about where their next meal is coming from, but instead of appreciating that blessing they gotta focus on resenting erbody else’s blessings, and act like spoiled children who got one scoop of ice cream instead of two. ???? Greedy and shameful!!!

Wow...that picture of Melissa before the surgeries? I guess a picture really is worth a 1000 words. Anyway, love the article. Pretty much sums up the Gorgas...fake, manipulative, calculating. I could go on... Not really a fan of the Wakiles but they have definitely prospered off the show. Great picture of the family too. Glad they stuck it to the "desperate to stay relevant" Gorgas cause Melissa and Joe know that without Teresa Guidice there is no show. They've been kiting off her for years and the grift is over. ?

They’ve prospered off the show , been happy , and only come out when summoned by miss Nose jobs

I don’t get the sense that the Wakiles are jealous at all. They seem like they’ve all lived a pretty rich (no pun intended) life off the show.

Amen ; they’re not still feuding with family for storylines , a job , and are now going to be grandparents .

Jealous and envious of the Gorgas is beyond laughable and delusional. What do the Wakiles have to be envious of…..shady business deals, blackballed from Home Depot or is it selling fake Chanel purses? I’ll never forget when someone asked Joseph Waklie if the Gorgas were invited to Toria’s wedding. His reply “ We got rid of those farm animals years ago.” And that is exactly what they are….animals. As I have said it before, I’ll take Rich & Kathy over Lil Joey & Melissa all day. Every day.

Kathy is beyond jealous that they all continued on the show and she was fired.

I think she was initially hurt due to the way they were lied to by Gorgas and working as a takedown team then ditched them . That’s not jealous
