Jennifer Aydin Confirms She’s Not Returning to RHONJ After Call From Producers

Jennifer Aydin is officially out at The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and she says she found out through a call from production.

Speaking on her podcast TV Gold, Jennifer confirmed she will not be returning for the upcoming season.

“I’m not coming back to the Real Housewives of New Jersey,” she said. “You guys are very passionate about the show. You have strong opinions about me, Margaret Josephs. I appreciate that, it’s great. But it doesn’t change my life either way.”

Jennifer explained that she received a call from executives at ITV on Wednesday while she was on her way to pick up her kids, and at first, she didn’t realize what the conversation would be about.

“I picked up and we caught up and it was really nice to catch up,” she said. “She asked me what I’ve been up to and I told her about TV Gold, creating my own production company. Jacob just got a car — he turned 17.”

She continued, sharing that the conversation started off casually as she gave updates about her family.

“I have five kids, so I’ve been busy, so it was nice. We were catching up.”

But then the call took a turn.

“And then I asked her what’s new with the show and the executive said, ‘That’s exactly why I’m calling. I wanted to give you the courtesy and tell you we decided not to ask you back.’”

Jennifer said her reaction was calm, and not entirely surprised.

“I was like, ‘Okay, I kind of knew that already and I’m surprised with this phone call,’” she recalled.

According to Jennifer, the executive acknowledged that as well.

“She said, ‘Yeah, I kind of had a feeling you knew, but you did give so much to the show and we just felt it was right to call you.’”

Jennifer went on to say that the timing of the call felt a bit delayed.

She explained that it felt like something she had already processed, adding that she found the situation more amusing than upsetting.

Her comments come just days after Bravo confirmed that Teresa Giudice, Dolores Catania, and Melissa Gorga will be returning for Season 15, while several longtime cast members — including Margaret Josephs — will not.
