Melissa Gorga Says Teresa Didn’t Intentionally Try to Bring Her Down

Melissa Gorga is looking back at one of the most talked-about moments in Real Housewives of New Jersey history, and her perspective on Teresa Giudice may be shifting.

Appearing on her niece Gia Giudice’s podcast Casual Chaos, Melissa addressed the long-standing drama and whether she believes Teresa was truly behind it.

“Listen, I think it was very obvious that not your mom herself didn’t have this lightbulb come up in her head,” Melissa said.

Instead, she pointed to the people Teresa was surrounded by at the time.

“But the group that she was with at the time, Kim D, whoever she somehow found, this guy that used to work at the strip club, right?”

According to Melissa, Teresa often found herself in situations without fully thinking through how things would play out.

“She gets herself into these situations where she doesn’t even realize how it’s going to look after,” she explained.

And while the outcome may have been hurtful, Melissa doesn’t believe it was calculated.

“I don’t think that she’s sitting there like, ‘Oh, today is the day that I’m bringing her down.’”

Gia agreed, suggesting the issue was more about influence than intent.

“It’s like even though she’s not the one saying it or not starting, it’s the people surrounding,” she said.

Melissa also reflected on how time has changed their dynamic.

“We need to communicate more, where I think back in the day we were both still just mad at things,” she admitted.

Now, she believes everyone involved has learned something from the past.

“I think once you get older and time teaches you, if you’re bringing someone down, it doesn’t make you win.”

“And I think everyone on the show is realizing that. The more you try to drag people down, you’re not gonna win. It’s gonna make you look worse.”

With tensions easing and perspectives evolving, Melissa’s comments suggest a more understanding approach — and possibly a new chapter in her relationship with Teresa.

I hope the peace holds and maybe I will be able to enjoy Melissa on this show instead of seeing her as a jealous in-law in competition with her husband’s sister.

Good for them. I'm glad they're mending fences. Especially, for their children.

So essentially Melissa is saying Teresa is too stupid to have plotted anything, but was complicit with other's plans to discredit Melissa and Joe.

LoL! Melissa is just trying to keep the peace. She knows Teresa was behind it and so does Gia.

Well like I said I think Melissa is doing it to keep the peace, plus I'm sure that the Gorgas are relieved that the felon will now have at least one source of income, because she and the Lobster Boy are millions in debt and I wouldn't put it past those two losers to ask the Gorgas for a loan, which we both know would never get paid back.
