Denise Richards is back with some jaw-dropping behind-the-scenes revelations from her time filming The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. In a recent interview on Bravo’s Hot Mic Podcast, the actress, known for her roles in Wild Things and Starship Troopers, shared hilarious and shocking details about what it was like joining the iconic reality series. From unexpected filming challenges to a surprising lack of craft services, Denise opened up about her initial shock and adjustments while filming with the RHOBH cast during their wild Season 9 trip to The Bahamas.

Denise Richards, who was already familiar with a few of the cast members like Kyle Richards, Camille Grammer, and Lisa Rinna, admitted to being both “excited” and “nervous” to join the show. Having spent much of her career in the world of scripted entertainment, she found the unscripted nature of RHOBH to be a challenging adjustment. “I told Aaron [Phypers], my husband — he was my boyfriend at the time when I started the first season — that I think I need to look at this as though I’m going on location,” she recalled, sharing her approach to navigating the experience.
But it wasn’t just the filming that caught her by surprise; it was the stark differences between a movie set and reality TV production that really shocked Denise. One revelation left her almost speechless: “Lisa Rinna told me,” Denise laughed. “I’m like, ‘What do you mean?’ I thought she was joking. I’m like, ‘There has to be some f—–g craft service around here somewhere.’” Turns out, unlike typical movie sets where craft services are a given, RHOBH didn’t provide the same food and drink luxury, leaving Denise in disbelief.

“I almost s—t the bed,” Denise continued, expressing just how surprised she was by the absence of the coveted snack station. As someone who loves to “graze,” she was used to always having food at hand, especially during filming. “Lisa knows me; I’m a grazer,” she confessed, adding that her fellow Housewives were well aware of her snack habits. “When Denise is around, we need to make sure there’s snacks…” And during the trip, Denise didn’t hesitate to raid the minibar, admitting, “I’m gonna take every pretzel and potato chip here.”
It wasn’t just the lack of food that Denise Richards found unexpected. In a moment of humor, Baskin also recounted how Denise showed up to filming in a Guns N’ Roses tee and jeans, unprepared for the glamorous outfits the show typically demanded. Denise Richards laughed, recalling, “I did put some lip gloss and mascara on,” but quickly realized how different the show’s fashion standards were from her usual attire. “I didn’t realize until being on it what was all involved with the outfits,” she said.
For Denise, filming RHOBH was an eye-opening experience, and she admitted that, despite her years of watching the show, she wasn’t fully prepared for the unique demands of reality TV. But it seems she quickly adapted to the chaos, with her wild adventures in The Bahamas becoming a major highlight of her journey on the series.

What purpose this article? food & dress code?
I thought she would give an inside–inside as to why Rinna, Kyle, Teddi treated her so badly.
It's rather ironic that Kyle is now the one whose sexuality is being questioned. Now that's what you call poetic justice.
It absolutely is, isn't it my dear friend?
I've got mad respect after watching her on the recent Special Forces: World's Toughest Challenge … DR is one badass chick. Jumping off that bridge is where she popped her implants. Then she re-damages her back jumping off (moving) boat onto a helicopter, and is practically drowned being waterboarded by sadistic military dudes. I've seen some crazy sh on reality TV, but this was second level insanity. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/424c3f59baec1717f8662d113bf8d10c16f5dc4e44822fe1f917bd423cca8474.png
Let's hope her new reality show has a lot of bowls Fritos and potato chips around. Otherwise it sounds like she'll feel lost in an uncultured wilderness.
I liked Denise everywhere except for hws. She was weird , her man is effing weird , and she can’t handle any criticism even when true
Aaron may be a little out there, but who cares:-)

Oh no you didn’t …
I had to dig deep into my own files to res-"erect" this one, because it appears it has been scrubbed from the internet.
No craft service? Trips to the Bahamas, PR, Mexico??? How low budget! I mean feed these women it’s no wonder they get so wasted. It’s not reality to get all dolled up in haute couture to go three block away to someone’s patio for a day of beauty. This has to be the dollar store version of the Real BH.
LOL!!!
Okay, I guess I'm missing something…is she coming back to TV?
Meh, I’d say turning up to work in a t-shirt and jeans can and should be regarded as an egregious sign of disrespect UNLESS explicitly told to do so, but it nonetheless makes me like her just a tiny bit more that she did it regardless of the reason because effin’ LOL.

I loved It's Complicated, and enjoyed her on RHOBH, and the previews look cute, so I'm all in.
I’ll likely watch too. She’s good tv even if she does have a bit of ? ? going on.
What are we watching? Is she back on RHOBH?
She’s getting a new reality show with just her and her family. It looks like harmless (fake) fun, so yeah, I’ll probably watch. I did like her previous reality show, so we’ll see…????
Oh thanks…I'll likely watch it too.
