Brittany Cartwright Claps Back at Troll Who Called Her ‘Massive’

Pump Rules alum Brittany Cartwright

Brittany Cartwright is clapping back at trolls who are criticizing her looks and body yet again.

The Vanderpump Rules alum recently posted a series of photos on Instagram. She captioned the carousel of photos: “Life lately.”

While most fans shared sweet, lovely comments on the post, there were a few that decided to choose evil that day instead.

One follower wrote, “What did she do to her face? So much prettier before” while another commented, “Beautiful hair, Is one eyebrow much higher than the other?”

A third wrote, “Those brows…”

Someone else commented, “She’s massive.”

Brittany seemed to let most of the comments about her looks roll off her shoulder however she felt the need to fire back at the critique about her weight.

The 35-year-old clapped back, writing:

“I wonder what makes a woman of your age come onto someone’s page and comment something like this? Be a role model, support other women, life each other up. Could you imagine if I went on your page and commented like this? We need to do better and be the change.”

Since giving birth in April 2021, Brittany has been open about her weight struggles. Throughout her pregnancy with son, Cruz, Brittany was vocal about her insecurities surrounding her weight gain. After giving birth, she struggled to drop the weight but ultimately found help with Jenny Craig.

In March 2022, Brittany Cartwright showed off her weight loss.

At the time, Brittany explained that while she was “incredibly proud” of her body she wanted to be “healthier” for her son.

“I want to be the best version of myself for my son,” Brittany told PEOPLE in 2022.

“Since having Cruz, postpartum weight loss has been a struggle and something I’ve been very vocal about with my community,” Brittany explained. “I’d like to get back to feeling like my best self all around, including both mental and physical health.”

Since becoming an ambassador for Jenny Craig in 2022, Brittany has dropped 45 pounds.

Brittany Cartwright’s impressive weight loss

Now, she’s working on maintaining her weight loss but admits she wouldn’t mind losing five or 10 more pounds.

“I love my body and I feel great where I’m at,” Brittany told DailyMail.com earlier this month. “I will not lie I would love to lose five or 10 more pounds but my big priorities just to be fair I want to feel good about myself”

She also insisted that she has not used weight loss drugs to get thin.

“I have not tried Ozempic because I wanted to stay away from those kind of thing. I heard it makes you sick and nauseous,” Brittany said. “I already have such a sensitive stomach and I don’t want to feel sick. I also feel like it’s not realistic long-term.”

“I want to maintain my weight so I can stay healthy for my kid. Chasing around a toddler takes energy,” she explained, noting that she and Jax have hopes of expanding their family in the near future.

“We do want to welcome a second child. I definetly want another baby, 100% I am not pregnant right now but I’ve talked to Jax about it. We don’t want our children to be too far apart in age.”

Brittany and husband, Jax Taylor, are set to star on the Vanderpump Rules spinoff, The Valley, which will premiere on Bravo in mid-2024.

The two announced their separation on February 29.

Vanderpump Rules airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.

So, did she respond to just the one about her weight as part of her contract with Jenny Craig? A smart person would have left the comments alone to die a rapid death. But then, all of these actors in these shows seem to think they need to respond to such attacks. They know they get more publicity to feed their craving for attention if they get into arguments with unknown posters.

Brittany is a southern girl who was most likely raised on fried water ... sometimes old habits die hard. I think she looks great, but a boob reduction would do wonders for her figure.

Same! The boob reduction would help her a lot, especially as she ages. "fried water" ?

If that's massive, I'm in trouble.
Champagne Hangover March 4, 2024 - 12:45 pm
Exactly. At her heaviest she was maybe chubby but she was never ‘massive’. People are such @ssholes sometimes. ?

You got that right ... I can only imagine what the people criticizing her look like. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/f5f2bc5b3ccc3148e277da94cd3cd6fdfc1d73184d31d4f27371eac44ae26c3b.gif

She was never rail thin to begin with. I don’t understand why anyone would apply that standard to her now. All the sudden, despite never being a waif probably ever in her life, AFTER a pregnancy and struggle with postpartum weight gain her success in battling that weight gain must now meet a standard that she never met before? Really? ?? And let’s be clear, I’m FAR from the pro-obesity ‘body positivity’ types and am myself currently 15-20 UNDERWEIGHT and of the ‘waif’ body type since childhood. So, I know how futile it is to try to fight against your body type. Just like Brittany will likely never naturally and healthily be a waif, I will never naturally be a voluptuous Marilyn Monroe type. And guess what? The world keeps on spinning. Variety is the spice of life! Healthy is beautiful enough. The rest is simply preference.

Thank you!!! No offense but your UNDERWEIGHT,,,I GET IT! I am so underweight and nothing I do helps me gain weight. Sometimes looking at my body makes me cry. I was always 120lbs, now I am 98lbs dripping wet. I guess it is what it is.

Yeah, I figure if we struggle with putting on weight it’s kind of hypocritical to judge too harshly or be unsympathetic to someone who is struggling to take off weight. Weight issues aren’t always as simple or easy as they seem. In a perfect world, I’d weigh 120 lbs. too. Now I’m just happy if I can manage to be in the triple digits. It is what it is. It’s not what I want but it is what it is. ????
