Real Housewives of Beverly Hills kept it simple on this week’s blog. Yolanda points out how thankful she was that the woman kept the drama at a minimum for her daughter, Gigi’s going-away party and opens up about her daughters speech. See what Yolanda had to say below

“Hello Bravo Lovers! I hope you had a great long weekend and thank you for your continued support of the show. Please keep tuning in to help us finish this Season 4 with a bang!

I apologize, but I worked on the wrong episode for the past couple of days so I am in a time crunch and will have to keep this short so let’s get right to it. . .

I enjoyed meeting Carlton at the candle store and learning more about her. We have seen the crazy part of her but I believe there is much more to her then just that. I am open and respect everyone religious and spiritual choices because at the end of the day, in my opinion, I hope that we are all praying to the same God.

I guess nobody liked my orange jump suit with my sneakers because everyone commented on it — but comfort is important at this stage of my life. Thank God my husband liked it.

As you can imagine, a peaceful going away party for Gigi was very important to me, but to be honest, I was nervous that there would be a blow up somewhere. I know there was a lot going on between all the woman, but I am grateful to each and every one of them for showing respect and keeping all the drama to a minimum, making this a memorable night for Gigi, her friends, and our family.

As I am sitting at my desk today, writing this blog I just balled my eyes out. Seeing Gigi speak about her father and her stepfather the way she did was very emotional and made me very proud. Divorce is not easy for children, and our big unconventional family is complicated at times. But at the end of the day we make it work for us and stand united as one. Shiva has been a great addition to our family for the past year and a half. We are thankful for all her help with this beautiful Arabic party, in great Hadid tradition, and in honor of Teta, Gigi’s grandma, who was looking down on us from heaven.

Being a single mother with all the guilt of failing was a challenge in the early days, but I have always taught my children to use this life experience to their advantage instead of letting these circumstance bring them down. I am so proud to see Gigi draw strength from having two great fathers in her life and being able to express that to both of them.

None of of us were born with money, so I am happy she was able to see our work ethic and determination to be successful and she will hopefully be able to apply that to her own life. Being acknowledged and appreciated by your child and stepchild is the greatest gift for all the hard work we put in as parents.

For 18 years we prepare our babies for a life on their own, but when the day comes it is still hard. Many tears are shed no matter how ready you think you are.

Anyway I am going to keep today short and sweet and leave with the beautiful sentiment of celebrating my first child going off to college.”

I really think it was great that the ladies didn’t decide to address anything at Gigi’s party but found it rude that Carlton pointed out how she respected Yolanda’s family so she wouldn’t start drama but thought it was okay to start drama at Kyle’s husband party in front of Kyle’s children! On a more positive note: Yolanda has raised Gigi so well, she seems like such a wonderful girl so kudos to her on that! Are you surprised the ladies managed to keep the drama to a minimum at Yolanda’s party?
