RHOM star Larsa Pippen gets real about her relationship with Marcus Jordan and reveals how her kids and ex-husband feel about her new man.
Larsa Pippen‘s relationship with Marcus Jordan may have shocked the Bravoverse due to their sixteen-year age difference, but the Pippen family, including Larsa’s ex-husband, Scottie Pippen, welcomed him into their world with open arms.
Larsa and Scottie were married from 1996 until 2018. They separated for a bit in 2016 before reconciling; however, by 2018, their marriage was officially over. Larsa and Scottie’s divorce was finalized in 2021.
The Real Housewives of Miami star, who shares children Scotty Jr., 22, Preston, 21, Justin, 18, and Sophia, 14, with her ex-husband, bragged about how Marcus was accepted into her family.
“Once we broke up, I feel like I never asked [Scottie] about his personal life. He’s never asked me about my personal life,” the Real Housewives of Miami star told Us Weekly during a joint interview with boyfriend Marcus Jordan, 32. “I think the only conversations we’ve ever had after we broke up [were] really about our kids.”
“[My kids], they love Marcus. Like, they love him, and I feel like we talk about the same things. So when I’m talking to my older son Scotty about basketball, Marcus is in on the conversation. [Then, when I am] talking to my son Preston about fashion, Marcus has a clothing store — he has a boutique — so he chimes in. It is just an easy fit for our family,” Larsa explained.
Marcus then shared some insight into his relationship with Larsa’s kids.
“I feel like her children are a little older in age. I feel like if you’re dating someone with younger kids, then maybe you need to instill your perspective on them in a different way. But I feel like Larsa’s relationship with her children — she’s best friends with them. They talk every day. And so, it’s one of the things that I admire about her,” he shared.
“For me, it’s more [like] I’m a fly on the wall. They have their conversations, and wherever I can chime in that makes sense — I try to do so,” he added. “But I think because we’re closer in age, I think that that we have a lot in common. I’m just happy that they’ve received me so well.”
Meanwhile, Marcus and Larsa also recently discussed the possibility of having kids on the latest episode of their new iHeartRadio podcast, Separation Anxiety with Larsa Pippen & Marcus Jordan.
“There’s been conversations around [having kids],” Marcus explained, according to PEOPLE. “When we go, and we meet people, or I’m introducing you to some of my friends, or you introduce me to some of your friends, I feel like it gets brought up.”
“But I feel like we’ve never had a one-on-one, private conversation about having children,” he added.
“It’s one of those things where I think time will tell, you know?” Larsa noted.
“I do feel like I’m happy, because I have four kids, and I feel like you don’t have kids, so basically, it’d be a question for you. Because I’m really fulfilled with my four children,” Larsa said, adding that she would be “open to having one more child.”
The Real Housewives of Miami is expected to return to Bravo for season 6 in late 2023 or early 2024.
