Kenya Moore is finally speaking out — and she’s not holding back. Following her dramatic departure from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Moore is telling her side of the story in a YouTube video aptly titled “The Confessional They Tried to Silence.”
Just days after fans watched her final season 16 appearance, Moore addressed the controversy that led to her exit: sharing explicit photos of fellow castmate Brittany Eady.
“It was wrong,” Kenya Moore, 54, admitted. “I should not have done it at my salon I worked so hard for. I am very sorry that I shared the photos because it wasn’t right. I did not break the law, and I’m very sorry for what I did.”
The incident took place during the grand opening of the Kenya Moore Hair Spa, which aired on April 6. After the shocking reveal of the photos, Bravo launched an internal investigation and ultimately decided that Moore would not be allowed to continue filming for the rest of the season.
As speculation continues, Moore is using her own platform to set the record straight — and clap back at some of her castmates. In the same video, she directly responded to Porsha Williams, who alleged that Moore wasn’t acting alone.
“One of these Housewives who is still on the show is the one who gave Kenya a big part of that nude information,” Williams claimed. “Who did all this research? Who did it besides the Housewife who gave you the footage? It was a lot.”
Kenya Moore firmly denied the accusation: “We did not get any photos from any person.”
She clarified, “The photos were online on various porn sites, many porn sites. I don’t watch porn. I’m not a porn expert. … These investigators and everyone involved…found those images and they’re still there.”
Moore also claimed she took legal precautions before unveiling the photos, consulting a local attorney “who advised me about the federal as well as the Georgia state law.”
“I shared photos that were readily available online,” she said. “I did not commit revenge porn. I shared a publicly available photo that was accessible online.”
Beyond the controversy, Moore used her video to address rumors about her Bravo paycheck and personal wealth. While she didn’t reveal specific numbers, she made it clear she’s doing just fine:
“I think it’s decent to say that I make more than the girls on the show now,” she said. “I don’t talk about money when it comes to my own money. I see a lot of crazy reports saying my net worth is $800,000. My house is worth $3 million. How is my net worth $800,000? I own that much in cars. Just stop! I think it’s tacky to talk about money so I’ll just leave it at that.”
Perhaps one of the most shocking revelations came when Moore claimed she was initially invited to the season 16 reunion — and then abruptly disinvited.
“The disrespect is insane,” she said. “From me being someone who has always loved Real Housewives of Atlanta and always wanted to see them win, to being shut out, not given the opportunity to apologize … I think it’s really odd.”
She closed with a heavy-hearted prediction: “I don’t anticipate an invitation. Yah, I don’t see that.”
