Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was almost explosive this week as Kyle Richards’ BFF Faye Resnick and new Housewife Kathryn Edwards met for the first after both being linked to the infamous OJ case. While Faye came under fire from many of the Housewives for her behavior and attitude, Kyle took to her Bravo blog to defend her friend.
“This week we follow Eileen to Italy where she shares a very personal touching moment…spreading her sisters’ ashes. What a thoughtful and beautiful way to honor her sister’s memory. I couldn’t get through this without crying my eyes out.
Last week we were introduced to Kathryn. I knew there was a connection between her and Faye but didn’t know if they had actually met. I liked Kathryn and decided to include her in the “BBQ” I was planning. OK, as I said in my interview, I am never using that term again. Not even if we are making hamburgers and hot dogs.
I always start out WANTING to do a BBQ but only if Mauricio can do the actual cooking, and this was a girls night, so that wasn’t happening.
Regarding my attire, I choose whatever I feel is most flattering at the time. That can be jeans dressed up to a nice dinner or a dress at home for a casual night. In other words, thin days and chubby days are what determines what I wear. These girls all always look gorgeous, and I know they don’t care who wears what.
I was very happy Yolanda made the effort to come. I didn’t think she would be able to since she had just had her explant surgery. I think this is a very good sign.
In regards to Yolanda’s children, she had already told me personally that they both have Lyme disease.
What Lisa was saying didn’t make sense, frankly. I was taken aback, and it was obviously confusing. While Lisa seemed annoyed I questioned what she said (I do regret asking too much), she said it. And although she said, “I don’t want to talk about it,” she already had. It was out there.
Despite Faye and Kathryn’s obvious connection, I didn’t think it would be an issue as this was something that happened over 20 years ago and was a time that Faye rarely speaks of. This was a very painful time for many, and it’s not exactly something anyone wants to reminisce about.
I was surprised that Kathryn made a beeline for Faye at the dinner table. Kathryn and I have only met once before, and she accepted my invitation to dinner in my home knowing Faye is a close friend.
I didn’t realize until l saw this just how much venom was being thrown towards Faye.
While I did not personally choose where the place cards went, I have to take responsibility since it is my home. Although I’m not sure that would have changed the outcome anyway.
Lisa Vanderpump also had some choice words for Faye in her interviews. I think to be going on about this THIS many years after an event that was WAY blown out of proportion is a bit much. It’s time to move on from that.
I think Faye was right when she told Lisa V. that she thinks they were both just defending their friends. Faye was being defensive of me, and Lisa V. was of Brandi. It’s petty and was made out to be way bigger of a deal than need be . We’re not in high school.
The person that they speak of is not the Faye I know. Faye is a kind, compassionate and loving person. She is a friend that will never let you down. An “aunt” to my children that has never missed a play or special event for them.
She is always happy, positive and a friend that will fight and defend you to the end. Faye has many friends that share my feelings.
Faye is an easy target and always pre-judged. If people actually met her, they would be surprised. I have always been a good judge of character and would not have had this person in my life this many years if she weren’t the person that she is.
Even Kathryn got to know Faye over these last six months and actually got along and put this all behind them. However, Kathryn (for whatever reason) chose not to share that in her blog.
I think it’s time to move on from all of this. It’s dark and sad, and everyone here is happy and has moved on with their own lives. Thanks for watching.”
