Teddi Mellencamp is getting candid about one of the toughest years of her life.
Ahead of a challenging immunotherapy appointment, the 44-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum joined Tamra Judge on the latest episode of Two Ts in a Pod, opening up about the emotional toll of her brain cancer diagnosis and how it’s affected her memory, her family, and her daily life.
“I just feel really sad and lonely,” Teddi admitted. “It’s been a year since all of this happened, and I know I should be so grateful, but I don’t even have my memories from before. Like, I can’t even remember the year and a half before.”
Tamra asked if she was referring to her soon-to-be ex-husband, Edwin Arroyave, 48, whom she split from in late 2024, just months before her diagnosis. Teddi’s answer reflected the deep sense of loss she’s been feeling.
“I miss just having, like, a family unit and doing things together as a family,” she said. “It’s so bizarre because I think that it happened so quick, and I know that I don’t want to talk about this over and over again, but I think I just, because I didn’t expect it to happen, then this happened, and in the past year I just thought I was going to be better than I am now.”
On top of the emotional struggles, Teddi shared the physical challenges she faces with treatment. She revealed she fears needing a port due to veins that have been worn out from previous procedures.
“I’m, like, dreading it because they can’t find my veins anymore and I don’t want to have to get a port, It’s because they’ve done it so many times.”
Even small, everyday plans have become difficult. “I really wanted to be in a better place now, and it’s weird. I can’t even plan little things that I used to love to do. My kids have asked me three times, ‘What are we doing for spring break?’ And, like, I can’t even plan it.”
Teddi’s honesty is a reminder of how much the past year has taken from her, physically, emotionally, and mentally, and how much strength it takes to keep moving forward while facing an uncertain road ahead.
