The divorce between Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker is already getting complicated, and the latest court filings add even more tension to their split.

A new report from US Weekly reveals that Kandi has officially responded to Todd’s claims about their prenuptial agreement and his recent move for primary custody of their two children.

According to the outlet, on Monday, December 1, Kandi filed an amended divorce petition to directly address Todd’s allegations — including his claim that he signed their prenup without his attorney present. In her legal response, Kandi reportedly pointed out that the entire process of creating and signing their agreement wasn’t just documented, but was openly filmed for Bravo viewers.

“The parties’ journey to executing an enforceable Prenuptial Agreement was filmed and broadcast on Bravo television network, with the knowledge and consent of both [Burruss] and [Tucker], for their five-part reality television wedding documentary entitled Kandi’s Wedding that premiered on June 1, 2014,” her filing asserted.

Her attorney also highlighted footage from the special, where Todd “audibly announced” that he was “good to sign” the agreement during a private conversation with Kandi. In that same exchange, Todd had allegedly acknowledged that he’d been in contact with his lawyer “on and off camera.”

The custody dispute has escalated as well. While Kandi originally requested joint legal and physical custody, she has now shifted her position and is seeking primary custody of their children, Ace and Blaze. She noted that both she and Todd are public “figures and self-employed entrepreneurs,” and emphasized that she has consistently employed a nanny who travels with her and the kids during work obligations.

“Both [Burruss] and [Tucker] have held professional obligations that have required each party to travel away from the home for extended period of times, independently and jointly, prior to and after the births of both of the minor children,” her filing reportedly stated. She also cited their “diverse and concentrated family support network, which includes maternal grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins within a five to 20-mile radius of the family residence.”

Todd’s response to Kandi’s original November 21 divorce petition paints a different picture. In her initial filing, she listed their separation date as July 15, 2025, described the marriage as “irretrievably broken,” and requested joint custody along with full enforcement of their prenup.

Todd, however, claimed that Ace and Blaze have been living primarily with him while Kandi works out of state. Because of that, he wants primary custody and, if necessary, plans to pursue “primary physical custody, joint legal custody, and final decision-making authority” over the children. He also alleged that he signed the prenuptial agreement just moments before the wedding and without legal representation.

And if the prenup is ruled unenforceable, Todd reportedly made it clear he would seek alimony.

With both sides pushing back hard and contradicting each other’s accounts, this divorce is shaping up to be one of the most contentious splits the Bravo world has seen in years.
