The Real Housewives of Orange County star spoke exclusively with Us Weekly at The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th launch event on Tuesday, August 4, in New York City, where she addressed the online chatter surrounding Briana’s life in Oklahoma with her husband, Ryan Culberson.

“There’s some bad crap on the internet,” Vicki said. “Ryan’s a perfect husband. Briana is a perfect wife. They have a perfect family, so everybody needs to shut up.”

Vicki said the speculation has been hurtful for Briana, especially because she lives a more private life now and has an online business.

“I mean, it’s really made Briana upset,” Vicki shared. “I just hope it all goes away because she’s got an online business and she’s very respected. And Ryan’s a great guy.”

Briana’s life recently became a topic on RHOC after her brother, Michael Wolfsmith, revealed during the July 30 episode that he has not seen his sister in nearly eight years.

Michael later explained the distance on Instagram, sharing that he had been living in Hawaii and now Spain.

“I was living in Hawaii and now Spain,” Michael wrote.

He said he had once tried to visit Briana when he was closer to Oklahoma, but claimed the timing did not work because of Ryan.

“A couple years ago, I said I wanted to visit when I was fairly close to Oklahoma, and she said it wasn’t a good time because of her husband, who I don’t get along with very well 🤷‍♂️,” Michael shared.

Michael later clarified that he does still communicate with Briana and Vicki.

He said he is in a group chat with both of them and that they “have friendly personal convos.”

“I would prefer if we could see each other in person!” Michael added. “We were sending each other pugs we want a couple days ago.”

While Michael’s comments sparked fan speculation about Briana’s marriage and family life, Vicki insists Briana is happy.

Just because Briana no longer films RHOC does not mean something is wrong, according to Vicki.

“They have four children. They’re happy. I’m happy. My daughter’s happy. That’s all I could want for my children,” Vicki said at The Lobster Club.

Vicki also addressed old RHOC footage involving Ryan, which some fans have revisited amid the renewed conversation about Briana’s marriage.

“I mean, there was a moment in time where he got back from war and he got angry at one person one time,” Vicki said. “But they’re now making something out of that. That was over 15 years ago.”

Vicki appeared to be referring to a 2013 RHOC scene where Ryan became upset with Lydia McLaughlin’s mom, Judy McLaughlin, for putting her feet on a couch during Vicki’s Winter Wonderland-themed party. Ryan later apologized for his behavior.

Briana was a familiar face on RHOC for years, with viewers watching her relationship with Vicki, her health journey, her marriage to Ryan and their growing family. But in recent years, Briana has stepped away from the Bravo spotlight and focused on her life outside of California.

That has not stopped fans from discussing her, especially now that Michael’s comments have brought her family dynamic back into the conversation.

The drama started after an Instagram clip surfaced from a recent episode of The Valley, where the cast discussed tension that began on Jax and Brittany’s podcast.

In the scene, Jesse explained that the issue started when Jax allegedly said on the podcast that he was going to “expose” Nia and Danny.

Jesse then said in his confessional that Brittany should have stepped in.

“Brittany didn’t stand up and say, ‘Come on Jax, relax,’” Jesse said. “Either way, you’re guilty by association.”

Brittany, however, pushed back hard in the clip and insisted she was not involved in Jax’s comments.

Brittany said it was “never” her and called Jax a “compulsive liar.”

She also said the idea that she was part of some bigger plan to come for Danny and Nia was “insane” to her.

Things got even more heated when Brittany confronted Danny about liking negative comments about her online.

Danny explained that he liked the comments because he had been told Brittany was part of the group coming for him.

Brittany was clearly frustrated that Danny believed that narrative.

“You’re going to believe Jax over me?” Brittany said. “Jesse over me? All these motherf–kers over me?”

Now, Jax Taylor is responding publicly and directly accusing Brittany of lying.

Jax Taylor commented on the clip and claimed Brittany did want him to go after Danny and Nia.

“Brittany you are a a liar,” Jax wrote.

He then alleged that Brittany called him while she was in Hawaii and told him to fly out and “take down” Danny and Nia.

Brittany has repeatedly claimed she was not involved in Jax’s drama with Danny and Nia, while Jax is now alleging that she privately encouraged him to come after the couple.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum appeared on Bunnie Xo’s Dumb Blonde podcast on August 3, where she got candid about her marriage, their ongoing divorce and the alleged abuse she says she experienced behind closed doors.

“Obviously, I was in an abusive marriage,” Denise said. “It didn’t start out that way physically…Physically, emotionally, financially, all of it.”

Denise claimed Aaron became a completely different person after they got married.

“He was a completely different person than the person I married.”

Denise and Phypers tied the knot in Malibu in September 2018 after dating for less than a year. Looking back, Denise said she now feels like she was misled about who he really was.

When Bunnie asked if Denise felt “conned” by Aaron, Denise did not hesitate.

“Absolutely. Definitely,” Denise replied. “That’s the hardest part of it.”

Denise explained that she and Aaron were together for more than eight years and married for a little over six.

“We were together for just over eight years and married for a little over six,” Denise said. “I never thought I would ever be in this situation.”

Aaron filed for divorce on July 7, 2025, listing their separation date as three days earlier. In his filing, he requested spousal support, legal fees and several personal property items.

Denise said she now understands why people ask abuse victims why they did not leave sooner, but she said the situation was not that simple.

“Now I understand why people ask, ‘Why didn’t you leave?’ or say, ‘You should have known. You should have seen the signs,’” Denise said.

She added, “A lot of people ask me that, but I didn’t. I wouldn’t have married the person if I had.”

Denise claimed she has learned a lot about Aaron since their separation and said he initially appeared to be a very different person.

She described Aaron as someone who “seemed like a really good man” and said he was “very low-key,” a “guy’s guy” and “very nurturing” when they first got together.

However, Denise claimed things slowly changed.

Denise said Aaron became “verbally abusive” and described the alleged abuse as a gradual process.

“And it was a slow burn,” Denise said. “This wasn’t overnight. It was like slowly chipping away, putting doubts in my head about certain things.”

Denise also recalled the first time she claims Aaron allegedly became physically abusive.

“I’ll never forget the one time when he first hit me; I was so shocked,” Denise said. “I was like, ‘Oh, f—. There’s no going back from this.’”

She claimed Aaron “slapped me across my face.”

According to Denise, Aaron was so remorseful after the alleged incident that she ended up feeling bad for him.

Denise also said one of her biggest mistakes was allowing Aaron to become involved in her finances.

She claimed she agreed to let him help with her money and even added him as a signer on one of her accounts.

“He made me believe he was taking care of me and wanted to build a life with me,” Denise claimed. “I really felt like we were building a life together.”

Denise said her daughter Sami Sheen “saw right through” Aaron from the beginning.

The actress also claimed the alleged abuse eventually became normalized in their home.

“Our normal became where I would be hit or pushed down on the ground, or some threat of something, and that became almost my normal,” Denise claimed. “And I knew it was wrong, but I was so beaten down, and I didn’t know how to leave.”

Denise further claimed Aaron had guns and allegedly threatened her with them. She said she eventually moved out with her daughters while Aaron stayed in their leased home with his family, who had moved from Canada during COVID-19.

Denise said the final breaking point came when Aaron allegedly slapped her while she was still hospitalized after undergoing surgery.

“But when he did that to me, when I was that vulnerable, I knew, ‘He’s going to kill me,’” Denise claimed.

Denise said she gave Aaron an ultimatum, asking him to go to anger management and move his family out of their home. However, she claimed things only got “worse.”

She also claimed Aaron filed for divorce behind her back shortly after she underwent a 2025 facelift, and said she learned about the filing from her daughter Sami after the news became public.

Aaron has not publicly responded to all of Denise’s latest allegations from the podcast.

Denise Richards is opening up about her daughters’ relationship with their dad, Charlie Sheen, and admitting that her oldest daughter, Sami Sheen, is not afraid to stand up to him.

During a recent appearance on Bunnie Xo’s Dumb Blonde podcast, Denise discussed her co-parenting relationship with Charlie and how she has encouraged her daughters, Sami and Lola Sheen, to have their own conversations with their father now that they are older.

At one point, Bunnie shared her take on Sami’s dynamic with Charlie.

“I feel like, and we can cut this out if you want me to, but I feel like she’s kind of Charlie’s karma in a way,” Bunnie said.

Denise laughed and replied, “You don’t have to cut it out.”

Bunnie then added, “I feel like she gives him a run for his money.”

Denise agreed, saying Sami is the one who challenges Charlie the most.

“Oh, she does,” Denise said. “She, out of all the kids, I feel stands up to him the most. And you know, and he does need it. We all do.”

Denise also praised Sami’s confidence, while admitting she sometimes wishes her daughter had a little more of a filter.

“I wish I had her confidence when I was her age,” Denise shared. “However, I do wish sometimes she filtered herself a little bit. When she’s saying stuff, sometimes.”

Still, Denise made it clear that she admires Sami for being unapologetically herself.

“But, I’d rather her be the way she is,” Denise said. “She’s not afraid to be who she is and that’s something that I really admire in her.”

Denise and Charlie were married from 2002 until their divorce in 2006. The former couple share two daughters, Sami, born in 2004, and Lola, born in 2005.

Denise also explained that Sami and Lola could not be more different.

“And she and Lola could not be more opposite,” Denise said.

Sami, 22, has built a career as a model and promotes her OnlyFans content online, while Lola, 21, is outspoken about her Christian faith and often shares religious content on social media.

Denise said the differences between her daughters remind her of her own relationship with her sister.

“My dad reminded me. My sister and I are very opposite too,” Denise said. “They don’t even look alike. My girls.”

She then joked, “Looks like I was with the milkman or something.”

Denise also reflected on what it was like raising Sami and Lola while Charlie’s personal struggles were playing out publicly.

The actress said she tried to shield her daughters from a lot of what was happening when they were young, but now believes there should come a time when they ask Charlie questions for themselves.

“I do think that there should come a time where they should really talk to their dad because so much happened when they were growing up,” Denise said.

She explained that there were moments when Charlie would not show up, including on holidays, and she would try to protect him in front of the girls.

“And ask him questions because there would be times where he wouldn’t show up on Christmas and I would have to lie and make up stuff and I protected him,” Denise shared.

Denise said she did not want to tell her young daughters the painful truth at the time.

“I wasn’t gonna tell them the truth,” she said. “How do you tell this to little girls? What’s really going on?”

She added that while some people might judge her for how she handled things, her goal was to protect her children.

“And some people would judge me,” Denise said. “They’re already so fragile… Even though I try to keep as much from them as possible, they’re aware, they pick up on energy.”

Despite her very public divorce from Charlie, Denise said it was always important to her that Sami and Lola have their own relationship with their father.

“During our divorce, which was so public, I wanted the girls to have their relationship with him without, you know, any negativity around it,” Denise explained.

Denise said she wanted her daughters to know Charlie as their dad, not just as the public figure they might read about online.

“I wanted them to know their dad as dad, not as Charlie Sheen, because there was many years where I didn’t know if he was gonna be here,” Denise said, referencing Charlie’s very public struggles with addiction.

She continued, “And I didn’t want the kids to only know about their father from what they were gonna read about him.”

Denise said that whenever Charlie was in a good place and able to spend time with the girls, she supported it.

“And so every, any time he was in a good space where they could spend time with him, I encouraged it,” Denise said. “I never spoke badly about him in front of the kids.”

While Sami may give Charlie “a run for his money,” Denise seems proud that her daughter has grown into someone who is confident, outspoken and unafraid to stand up for herself.

The Real Housewives are pulling back the curtain on how producers get cast members to deliver the drama viewers see on screen.

In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Kyle Richards, Vicki Gunvalson, Gizelle Bryant and Porsha Williams opened up about their relationships with producers and admitted that while the friendships can feel real, the loyalty is ultimately to the show.

When asked how producers get authentic Housewives to deliver compelling storylines, Kyle explained that it starts with the cast becoming extremely close with production.

“They’re your friends, your family, you’re endlessly spilling your guts at them,” Kyle said. “And they are writing it all down.”

Kyle said that once a Housewife opens up privately to producers, those same conversations can later be turned into on-camera moments.

“The next thing you know, they will ask you, ‘Why don’t you guys talk about what you’re feeling right now?’” Kyle shared. “And I’m like, ‘I can’t even lie because I already told them what I was feeling!’”

Kyle then admitted what many fans have suspected for years.

“Honestly, there’s a lot of manipulation going on,” she said. “It’s just the way it is.”

The women were then asked whether producers’ loyalty is ultimately to them or to the show.

Vicki did not hesitate.

“Oh! The show,” Vicki said.

“The magic is thinking it’s to you,” Kyle said.

Gizelle also made it clear that no matter how close the bond may feel, production is always working for the final product.

“But it’s always to the show,” Gizelle said.

Kyle said that complicated bond is why Housewives end up revealing so much of their lives.

“That’s why we open up our lives and reveal everything,” Kyle explained. “We give them what they need from us.”

She then summed up the dynamic perfectly.

“It’s a twisted kind of love,” Kyle said.

Porsha Williams added that while producers push for content, the cast can sometimes negotiate what they are willing to give in a specific moment.

“We do negotiate, though,” Porsha said. “There may be a moment where there is something you don’t want to say right then, and you can bargain with them a bit.”

Porsha explained that sometimes she will offer producers something else if she is not ready to address a specific topic.

“I sometimes say, ‘I’m not ready today for this, but I’m going to give you this instead,’” Porsha shared. “It’s still real, but sometimes you need to take a beat.”

Kyle then gave a specific example of how producers try to get Housewives to bring up off-camera drama once it becomes public.

“For example, say something bad comes out on TMZ about a castmember. It’s fair game,” Kyle said. “Someone has to ask them about it.”

But after years on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle said she knows when to refuse being the one to bring something up.

“So they may come to me and I’ll say, ‘You need to get some other sucker to do this. I’m sorry. I’ve been here too long. I am not bringing that shit up with her,’” Kyle admitted.

The conversation gives fans a rare look at how Housewives storylines are shaped behind the scenes.

The women are not saying the drama is fake. In fact, they are saying the opposite. The emotions are real, the relationships are real and the off-camera conversations are real.

But according to Kyle, once producers know what a Housewife is feeling, they know exactly how to push those conversations onto camera.

In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Teresa joined Vicki Gunvalson, Luann de Lesseps, Gizelle Bryant and Porsha Williams to discuss fame, fan criticism and where the line should be drawn when it comes to reality TV drama.

When asked what topics should be off-limits, Vicki said her business should not be dragged into the drama.

“Businesses, to me,” Vicki said. “My business was 27 years old.”

Gizelle, however, quickly disagreed, saying businesses are fair game on The Real Housewives of Potomac.

“Oh, that’s on the table for us,” Gizelle said. “Business is always on the table.”

Teresa then shared that she believes spouses should be protected from cast attacks, especially when they are new to the reality TV world.

“I feel like your spouses should be off-limits,” Teresa said.

Teresa specifically brought up her husband, Luis “Louie” Ruelas, and how difficult it was for her to watch him become part of RHONJ drama after they got married.

“When I got married, he was innocent to this,” Teresa said. “I had all these people who I just met attack my husband, and he didn’t sign up for this.”

Luann pushed back on Teresa’s take, saying that once someone appears on the show, they become part of the conversation.

“But he did go on the show, so once you have somebody on the show, it is fair game,” Luann said.

Teresa, however, argued that Louie did not fully understand what he was walking into.

“He did not know that he was going to get attacked by my castmembers and my family members,” Teresa explained. “My brother even attacked him! That was so heart-wrenching for me.”

Teresa’s comments come after several intense seasons of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, where Louie became a major topic of conversation among the cast. His relationship with Teresa, his past, and his dynamic with Joe and Melissa Gorga were all heavily discussed on the show.

For Teresa, the situation crossed a line because Louie was not a longtime reality star when he entered her world.

The women were also asked about the intense relationship between reality stars and fans, especially how everything they say or do gets debated, analyzed and turned into memes online.

Teresa admitted that the online criticism used to bother her, but she has learned to tune it out.

“It used to drive me crazy,” Teresa said. “So I don’t look at it anymore. They don’t know me.”

Luann then joked about the strange experience of forgetting she is famous until a fan approaches her in public.

“Does it happen to you, though, where you’re walking around and you forget who you are?” Luann asked. “You’re just Luann. And then some stranger bounds up to you at a store and you think, ‘Oh, shit. I forgot. I am famous.’”

Porsha added her own joke, saying, “I just think I scared them without my wig.”

Luann also reflected on how fans often believe they know the Housewives personally, even though they are only seeing a small portion of their lives on television.

“People tend to project their own lives on to you,” Luann said. “They think they know you and what you’re feeling.”

She continued, “But they see just a few minutes out of your life that the producers create.”

Still, Luann admitted that fan feedback is not always bad.

“People care,” Luann said. “They give you lots of bad advice, but sometimes its really smart and helpful.”

Luann then summed up her approach to social media in classic Countess fashion.

“I’m a cafeteria Catholic, OK?” she said. “I take what I like from social, and I leave the rest behind.”

The conversation highlights a debate Housewives fans have had for years: what is actually off-limits once someone signs up for reality TV?

In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter celebrating 20 years of The Real Housewives, Vicki Gunvalson, Kyle Richards, Luann de Lesseps, Teresa Giudice, Gizelle Bryant and Porsha Williams reflected on how the franchise has handled topics like race, politics, #MeToo and sexual orientation over the years.

Vicki admitted that in the early days of the franchise, certain topics were simply not discussed.

“Back in the day we never talked about race, religion, who we’re voting for,” Vicki said.

Vicki said the show has had to evolve with the culture, but the women still have to be careful.

“You want to be where the conversation is,” Vicki explained. “But we still have to be very careful not to offend anybody.”

Luann de Lesseps agreed, adding, “You can be canceled so easily.”

Kyle Richards said she has always taken a more private approach when it comes to politics because of how she was raised.

“My mom always raised me not to talk about politics in public, so I take that to the cameras too,” Kyle said. “It’s the safest way.”

Vicki added, “I’m going to say this: I just want what’s right for America. It doesn’t matter.”

Porsha then reflected on how The Real Housewives of Atlanta could not avoid political and racial conversations during the Black Lives Matter movement.

“We couldn’t hide from politics during Black Lives Matter,” Porsha said.

Porsha, who was arrested twice while protesting, said she made it clear before filming that the topic needed to be handled carefully.

“I had been arrested twice while I was protesting, and before we filmed I told them that the subject had to be handled responsibly, not in the usual Housewife way,” Porsha shared.

Porsha also said she was bothered by viewers who responded to Black Lives Matter conversations with “All Lives Matter.”

“There were viewers who kept saying ‘All Lives Matter,’” Porsha said. “It bothered me.”

Because of that, Porsha felt a real conversation needed to happen on the show.

“I thought a real conversation was necessary,” she explained. “But we tried to do it with tender loving care.”

Gizelle Bryant also explained that The Real Housewives of Potomac has always had a different relationship with politics because of its location.

“Potomac is right outside of D.C., so we’ve taken the cameras into the White House,” Gizelle said. “Politics is a part of our show.”

Gizelle added that RHOP has continued to include political moments, including her recent trip to Congress.

“I recently went to Congress, and we took the camera there, too,” Gizelle revealed.

However, Gizelle said each Housewives city has its own boundaries.

“Every franchise has their own unwritten rules and code of ethics,” Gizelle explained. “For instance, on Potomac, we don’t talk about other people’s children, and we don’t get into religion.”

Teresa Giudice said RHONJ has similar boundaries when it comes to certain topics.

“That doesn’t happen on my show, either,” Teresa said. “No politics or religion. Or kids. But OK with everything else!”

Kyle said Beverly Hills also does not go after children.

“In Beverly Hills, we would never say anything about someone’s child, ever,” Kyle said.

The conversation shows just how much The Real Housewives has evolved over the last 20 years.

In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, The Real Housewives of New Jersey star opened up about filming during her legal investigation, before her incarceration and through her ex-husband Joe Giudice’s eventual deportation.

When asked if she regrets allowing the cameras to capture that period of her life, Teresa did not hesitate.

“Yes,” Teresa said.

She explained that her biggest regret comes from being a mother first and not fully understanding the severity of what was happening at the time.

“Because I’m always a mom first,” Teresa said. “But at the time, I really didn’t understand what my ex-husband had done.”

Teresa said she believed they simply had to go through the legal process and that everything would eventually be okay.

“I just thought we had to go through the process and everything would be fine,” she explained.

Looking back, Teresa admitted she never believed she would actually end up going to prison.

“I really never in a million years thought I would go to jail,” Teresa said.

She then made it clear just how confident she was at the time that prison was not going to happen.

“If you said to me, ‘I’ll give you $40 million right now, are you going to go to jail?’ I’d be like, ‘No, absolutely not.’”

Porsha Williams then asked Teresa if part of that sense of invincibility came from being a celebrity.

“Part of that invincibility that you felt, was it because you were a celebrity?” Porsha asked.

Teresa disagreed and claimed that being famous actually worked against her.

“No,” Teresa said. “Being a celebrity made me go to jail.”

Teresa then claimed she believes she was made an example of.

“They made an example of me,” Teresa said.

The RHONJ OG also continued to maintain that she did not knowingly do anything wrong.

“I know I didn’t do anything,” Teresa said. “I went to a closing. I put my John Hancock on that dotted line, and I went to jail because of that.”

Teresa made it clear that her stance has not changed.

“My story will never change,” she added.

She also said people knew she was not involved in Joe’s business dealings.

“Everyone knew I had nothing to do with my husband’s business,” Teresa said. “I was a housewife. I stayed home, watched the kids.”

Luann de Lesseps then chimed in, joking, “Made lasagna.”

Teresa agreed, adding that she was living the life of a traditional housewife at the time.

“And cooked,” Teresa said. “I did laundry. I was a real housewife.”

Because of that, Teresa said she genuinely did not believe she would be sentenced to prison.

“I thought, ‘I’m not going to jail. I didn’t do anything,’” Teresa said.

Teresa and Joe’s legal issues became one of the most defining storylines in Real Housewives history. Viewers watched Teresa navigate the investigation, her sentencing, her time away from her daughters and Joe’s deportation after he served his own sentence.

Kyle Richards is opening up about the unexpected pressure she felt from fans after her separation from Mauricio Umansky became public.

In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star reflected on how deeply viewers reacted to the end of her marriage and how difficult it was to carry not only her own emotions, but also the disappointment of strangers who felt connected to her relationship.

“When my husband and I first got separated, people were totally devastated,” Kyle said. “It was like it happened to them.”

Kyle admitted that she was already dealing with feelings of guilt over how the separation impacted her family.

“I was already feeling like I let down my family,” she shared.

But on top of that, Kyle said fans were reaching out to her directly, begging her not to end the marriage.

“Strangers were reaching out and messaging me, ‘Please don’t get divorced, please,’” Kyle said. “That really did get to me after a while.”

Kyle and Mauricio’s separation has been one of the biggest storylines surrounding RHOBH in recent years. The couple, who married in 1996, spent decades together and were often viewed by fans as one of Bravo’s strongest marriages.

Because viewers watched so much of their family life on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, many fans felt personally invested in their relationship.

Kyle was asked how she makes decisions when she is privately dealing with her marriage while also feeling responsible to millions of viewers who are watching her life play out on television.

Kyle said she still feels that pressure.

“I still feel the pressure of it in my own marriage,” Kyle admitted.

She said fans constantly question why she and Mauricio have not made a final decision about their future.

“‘Why haven’t you made a decision? Why haven’t you gotten divorced?’” Kyle said, repeating the questions she hears from viewers.

Kyle explained that being on TV makes her feel like people expect answers from her.

“I feel like people are expecting an answer from me, and I owe it to them because they’re watching me on television every week,” she said.

The RHOBH OG also revealed that some comments from viewers were especially painful.

“There were people who said, ‘We believe in true love but you let us down,’” Kyle shared.

Kyle said she understood logically that she should not let public opinion influence such a personal decision, but admitted it still affected her emotionally.

“I knew, logically, that I shouldn’t let that affect me,” Kyle said. “But it did.”
