Dolores Catania is teasing the new season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but fans are already reading into her response.
While speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Dolores was asked about what is happening with RHONJ as the franchise prepares for a major new chapter following the show’s long pause and cast shake-up.
Before answering, Dolores paused and appeared to carefully choose her words.
“I feel like what’s happening with Jersey is… I don’t know how to say it,” Dolores said. “It’s going to be different and I hope people love it.”

Dolores then added that fans love seeing family get involved, which has always been a major part of RHONJ’s identity. From the beginning, New Jersey has stood apart from other Housewives cities because so much of the drama has centered around family, loyalty, history and long-standing relationships.
When asked what the audience can expect from the new season, Dolores again seemed to pause before answering.
“It’s fun. It’s funny. There’s some action. We never disappoint no matter what,” Dolores said. “New Jersey, you are going to get action. But I think you will expect to see something you like.”
While Dolores was clearly trying to promote the season, some viewers felt her answer seemed hesitant.
In the comments of the clip, fans immediately began reacting to her delivery.
“What I’m reading is that the season is so boring and she doesn’t want to hype it up,” one commenter wrote.
Another viewer added, “Yeah she definitely feels off somehow.”
Dolores’ comments come after a major reset for RHONJ. The show was put on pause following a very divided Season 14, which ended without a traditional reunion after the cast became too fractured to come together in a meaningful way.
