Todd Tucker is not wasting any time putting his post-divorce life on camera.
The former Real Housewives of Atlanta producer has released a teaser for a new reality project centered around his life after his split from Kandi Burruss, and the show appears to be leaning directly into divorce, reinvention and the very public fallout of relationships that once played out on Bravo.
Todd shared the teaser with the caption, “Divorce is never easy! I want to share my journey post-divorce. I never thought this would be my story. I made mistakes, and I hope some can learn from my journey.”
The clip makes it clear that Todd’s marriage to Kandi will be part of the story. The teaser opens on a framed photo from Todd and Kandi’s 2014 wedding before cutting to Todd standing outside and wiping his face.
From there, the footage shifts into Todd’s new reality, including conversations, possible new connections and appearances from familiar names in the RHOA universe.
Ralph Pittman, the estranged husband of former RHOA star Drew Sidora, appears in the project, giving Todd at least one cast member who understands what it is like to have his marriage and divorce become part of Bravo conversation.
Fatum Alford, who has also appeared on RHOA, is also seen in the teaser arriving at Todd’s door with a fruit pie.
Even Todd’s divorce attorney, Randy Kessler, appears in the project. Kessler is a well-known Atlanta family law attorney who has represented Todd in his split from Kandi.
The timing of Todd’s teaser is already raising eyebrows because Kandi has been very open about the divorce in recent months, while still trying to keep things respectful when it comes to Todd.
Kandi previously said on Watch What Happens Live that she and Todd were still focused on co-parenting their children, Ace and Blaze, and that their goal was to make sure the kids did not “feel the brunt” of their drama. She also said she believed they would be able to be “great co-parents” once the divorce was behind them.
Kandi has also said that the split had been building for a while. During that same WWHL appearance, she admitted that there was a moment in July when she realized, “I can’t do this anymore,” though she refused to reveal the specific situation that led to the divorce on the show.
Since then, Kandi has continued to say she does not regret the marriage. In an interview with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Kandi said, “I don’t have any regrets,” adding that she felt they had a “good marriage” and that it was “great while it was great.” She also said she did not have anything negative to say about Todd, explaining, “I just feel like it just didn’t work.”
However, Kandi has also acknowledged the pain behind the breakup. In the same interview, she became emotional while discussing healing after the divorce and said, “I’m not healed.” She explained that she has been staying busy because she does not like to sit in sadness.
Kandi also addressed Todd accusing her of exploiting their relationship through her own show. Her response was pointed, saying, “When you do something to someone, you cannot dictate how they react to the situation.”
Financially, Kandi has pushed back on the idea that she simply paid Todd out in the divorce. She explained that the settlement was about equalizing shared property equity, saying they had properties together and the lump sum was tied to making sure they both ended up with equal equity.
Kandi and Todd finalized their divorce earlier this year, with reports saying they share joint legal and physical custody of Ace and Blaze. Neither party receives child support or spousal support, and Kandi agreed to pay Todd a lump sum as part of the property division.
