Dr. Leonard Lenny Hochstein is facing new legal trouble.

The Miami plastic surgeon, who is also the ex-husband of Real Housewives of Miami star Lisa Hochstein, is being sued by three former patients who claim they suffered serious complications following cosmetic procedures performed at his North Miami Beach surgical center.

According to July 2026 filings released by law firm Morgan & Morgan, three women have filed separate malpractice claims against Dr. Hochstein and Surgery Center of North Miami LLC, alleging negligence and severe post-surgical complications.

The first patient, a 46-year-old woman, claims Dr. Hochstein performed multiple procedures on her on May 27, 2025, including a tummy tuck, liposuction, fat grafting and a breast lift involving implants.

Per the filing, obtained by PEOPLE, the woman was discharged the same day as her surgeries. She later claims she developed “worsening symptoms,” including abdominal tightness and pain, swelling and discoloration near her lower abdominal incision.

The patient then allegedly sought intervening surgery at a wound-care center in California on June 17, 2025. According to the complaint, it was discovered that she had fluid buildup and dead tissue.

The filing claims the complications occurred three weeks after her surgery with Dr. Hochstein and were followed by months of “painful and invasive wound management,” as well as alleged “scarring” and “deformity.”

A second woman named in the lawsuit underwent a breast augmentation performed by Dr. Hochstein on May 6, 2025.

According to the complaint, the patient alleges the consent forms she signed did not disclose that a mesh material would be used in an “off-label manner” during surgery or “that such use lacked FDA approval for breast surgery.”

Shortly after the procedure, the woman allegedly told Dr. Hochstein that a post-op surgical drain had become dislodged.

The lawsuit claims Dr. Hochstein recorded a “change in breast position” and noted the potential need for a revision, but “no corrective intervention was undertaken.”

On July 15, 2025, the patient sought medical intervention from a clinic in Long Island, New York. Her complaints allegedly included “breast pain, droopy breasts, implant rippling, nipple and areola concerns and asymmetry.”

The woman later underwent revision surgery with a different plastic surgeon in September 2025. According to the filing, she was later deferred from getting a third procedure due to further complications.

She alleges that she “continues to suffer from permanent…distortion, pain and the likelihood of future corrective surgeries.”

The third patient named in the documents underwent a breast augmentation and breast lift on March 15, 2022.

According to the complaint, she allegedly experienced complications including “breast asymmetry, cleavage distortion and early symmastia.”

Symmastia is a rare complication that can cause the breasts to come together at the center of the chest following breast implant surgery.

Dr. Hochstein performed a second surgery on the woman in April 2023, but the patient allegedly experienced “significant pain” and “swelling” just days later.

According to the complaint, excess fluid was drained later that month and again on May 1, 2023.

The patient alleges the damage left her with “persistent breast deformity” and “chronic pain.”

In a statement shared with PEOPLE, Morgan & Morgan founder John Morgan and plaintiff attorney Jack Cook addressed the emotional impact they say their clients have experienced.

“When injuries like these occur, ones that involve intimate parts of the body tied directly to a person’s identity, it creates an added layer of emotional damage,” they said. “Every one of these patients has suffered, and continues to suffer, emotional harm from the sense that the trust between surgeon and patient was broken.”

Dr. Hochstein, who has been featured on The Real Housewives of Miami due to his past marriage to Lisa Hochstein, has long been known as a prominent Miami plastic surgeon.

The lawsuits now put his medical practice at the center of serious allegations involving multiple former patients.

As of now, the claims remain allegations made in legal filings.
