The Real Housewives of Miami star took to her Instagram Stories over the weekend to address claims that she had “overfilled” her face. In a candid video, the 51-year-old blamed the viral look on an unexpected allergic reaction—not cosmetic procedures.

“I feel like that photo went viral,” Pippen said in the clip. “I’m wondering if someone made it look like that because this is what my face looks like.” She pointed out that being on television means viewers regularly see her appearance: “I’m on TV, so you know what I look like.”

Pippen explained that she had recently undergone a Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment, a popular cosmetic procedure intended to rejuvenate the skin. However, she claims the treatment caused a rare reaction.

“I did have PRP. I did have an allergic reaction to the PRP, which I didn’t even know you can have,” she said. “So my face is a bit swollen, but it doesn’t look like that, so keep on hating guys.”

The response comes after a cosmetic doctor went viral on Instagram Friday for sharing a video that critiqued Pippen’s changing appearance, claiming she had gone “from naturally beautiful to noticeably overfilled.”

While the internet continues to speculate, Pippen is standing firm, and promises viewers will see the real story soon. “I just shot my [‘RHOM’] reunion a couple of days ago, so you’ll see what I look like at my reunion,” she teased.

Whether it was a reaction or retouching, Pippen isn’t backing down from the scrutiny, and she’s clearly not letting the criticism get under her (possibly irritated) skin.
