Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Storms Beador is once again making headlines after being pulled over by police while serving probation for a DUI conviction stemming from a 2023 incident.
According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, the 61-year-old reality star was stopped in Orange County, California, on May 21. She was cited for “driving while operating a handheld wireless telephone or electronic wireless communications device.” Although she was released after the citation, Beador must pay a fine—$20 for a first offense and $50 for any additional violations—by July 11.
This minor traffic citation comes as Shannon remains on probation following her September 2023 arrest. Her probation is scheduled to end on November 1, 2026.
Back in September, the Newport Beach Police Department confirmed that Shannon was “arrested at 1:17 a.m. on Sept. 17 after fleeing the scene from a collision that caused property damage.” The incident made headlines after she allegedly abandoned her car and was later found walking her dog. TMZ, which first reported the story, stated that her blood alcohol content was .24—three times the legal limit.
Following the arrest, law enforcement officials announced that Shannon had been “booked for two misdemeanors — hit-and-run and DUI alcohol. She was released on a citation.”
In November 2023, the court ordered Beador to pay $390 in fines, complete 40 hours of community service, and attend a 9-month alcohol education program. Her attorney, Michael L. Fell, shared at the time that Beador was “extremely apologetic and remorseful.”
Though the latest traffic stop didn’t result in a DUI-related charge, it does raise eyebrows considering her current probation status. Fans and critics alike are closely watching how Beador navigates the remainder of her legal obligations.
