After months of speculation and silence, Bravo’s kingpin Andy Cohen has finally given fans a long-awaited update on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. And while things have been quiet in the Garden State, Cohen says plans are definitely in motion.

Appearing on The View on June 3, Andy Cohen confirmed that the RHONJ franchise is far from over — despite being on an extended hiatus.

“We are doing casting with Jersey as well,” he said. “It was really on a deep pause and we are actively there casting and kind of looking at the future of what that will be. It’s a great franchise and we love it. I just have to reiterate that.”

The confirmation comes as fans continue to speculate about the fate of the popular series, which has been surrounded by drama both on and off-screen. Cohen didn’t drop names or specifics but made it clear that Bravo is reworking the show’s next chapter — something longtime viewers have been hoping for.

Andy Cohen also addressed rumors surrounding The Real Housewives of New York City, assuring fans that the rebooted series is still very much alive.

“It’s not over,” Cohen emphasized. “We are between seasons where we typically do a little casting, which is what’s happening now and we’re very close.”

The news comes as a relief to fans who worried the RHONY reboot wasn’t resonating. Cohen confirmed that some of the current cast will “absolutely” be returning for Season 16, alongside some fresh faces.

Even outside of the Housewives universe, Cohen had thoughts on other Bravo staples. Speaking about Summer House, he admitted he’s just a fan like the rest of us — but he knows star power when he sees it.

“I really just watch as a fan,” he said. “These are people that we have fallen in love with and I think that they will continue to evolve in front of Bravo cameras in one way or another.”

Meanwhile, RHONJ veteran Teresa Giudice gave her own take on the franchise’s future while attending the red carpet for daughter Gia Giudice’s new show Next Gen NYC. When asked about Cohen’s recent comment that it may be “a while” before RHONJ returns, Teresa said she’s unbothered.

“I’m fine with it,” she said. “I feel like they need to bring us back, ‘cause everybody wants us to come back. Whenever Bravo’s ready, I’ll be ready.”

And in a surprising moment, Teresa even said she’d be willing to return with the same cast — a group that’s seen some serious division in recent seasons.

“I’m the OG,” she said. “They’re not getting rid of me until Bravo does. Everyone loves Jersey.”

So what’s next for RHONJ? It sounds like it’s all still in the works. But one thing is certain — Andy Cohen and Bravo aren’t saying goodbye to New Jersey just yet.
