Crystal Kung Minkoff is opening up about where things stand with Joey Zauzig following their explosive falling-out on Bravo’s Still Flipping Out, and it turns out the former friends have managed to put their differences behind them.
During an exclusive interview with Roxanne and Shantel, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star revealed that Joey repeatedly reached out to apologize following their disagreement, although she wasn’t immediately ready to forgive him.
When asked whether Joey had apologized, Crystal confirmed that he had made several attempts to make things right.
“Yes, yes, many times. He apologized right away after,” Crystal revealed.
She continued, “We’re friends again and we’re good. He really took accountability and he did it in a very private way, which I appreciated. And it wasn’t done for show.”
Crystal explained that Joey made a point of reaching out privately rather than attempting to resolve their issues in front of cameras.
“He would message me privately, ‘Can we get together? Let me take you out for lunch. Let me apologize.’ And I wasn’t ready for many months.”
Despite needing space, Crystal said the communication between them remained respectful.
“I just said, like, I care about you. I’m just not ready. And he’s like, whenever you’re ready.”
According to Crystal, when she finally agreed to reconnect, Joey took full responsibility for his actions without making excuses.
“When I was ready, there was like no excuses. It was just, ‘I was in a tough place and I’m sorry I didn’t see it right.’ And I was like, that’s all I need.”
She added, “When someone gives you a genuine apology, you don’t really need more than that.”
The reconciliation comes after viewers watched tensions escalate between Crystal and Joey on Still Flipping Out, particularly surrounding his concerns about her growing friendship with Jeff Lewis.
While their falling-out played out publicly, Crystal made it clear that their reconciliation happened privately.
And it appears the two have moved forward. Crystal also revealed that she recently enjoyed dinner with Joey and Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles star Tracy Tutor, whom she described as extremely close friends.
For fans wondering whether the drama between Crystal and Joey would permanently damage their friendship, Crystal’s latest comments suggest the two have officially moved past it.
