Brandi Glanville is giving fans a raw look at her ongoing health struggles.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum shared an emotional update on Instagram, revealing that her current treatment routine includes hours of IV medication every day and has left her feeling extremely weak.
In a September 6 Instagram video, Brandi showed herself preparing her daily IV infusions and admitted that the treatment has affected her ability to eat.
“I can’t eat because the things I do decreases my food,” Brandi said. “I feel like death. I look like death.”
Brandi also said she is “so skinny right now” as she continues dealing with the mystery health issue that has impacted her face.
According to Brandi, one of the IV medications she is taking is Imipenem, an antibiotic commonly used with Cilastatin to treat severe bacterial infections.
“I had to learn to do all these with the nurse,” Brandi explained as she detached an IV bag from a portable pump. “Now, she comes four hours a day in the evenings to do my other IV, but I have to do this IV before she comes for the 4-hour IV.”
Brandi said her schedule is intense, explaining that she begins one of the treatments in the afternoon and stays connected overnight.
“I start this at 4 o’clock, the Imipenem, and I have that overnight,” she said. “Eighteen hours a day. It’s a lot of setup.”
In a follow-up video posted September 7, Brandi revealed just how much her life has changed because of her health battle.
She said the “only time” she leaves her house is to record her podcast.
Brandi also opened up about how desperate she feels to get answers and relief.
“I want to cut my face open and just take it out,” she said. “But can’t do that, so now I have to start my IVs.”
Brandi, who has previously spoken about dealing with what she described as facial parasites, also shared that she was diagnosed with a benign tumor on a lymph node in her face.
In the caption of her post, Brandi admitted she never imagined this would become her reality.
“I never thought this would become my life. A PICC line. Hours of IV medication. And still fighting to get whatever is in my face OUT,” she wrote.
Brandi acknowledged that many people want to know exactly what she is dealing with, but said she is not ready to share every detail yet.
“I know everyone wants to know exactly what I’m dealing with. I’m not ready to share that part just yet,” Brandi wrote. “But I am ready to start showing you what it’s taken to get here.”
The update comes after Brandi has spent months publicly documenting the mysterious health issues affecting her face, which have included swelling, changes in appearance and ongoing medical treatment.
Brandi has also been open about how much the situation has affected her mentally, physically and emotionally.
Despite everything, she said she is still hoping to feel like herself again.
“I just want to put a ton of makeup on again, get my hair extensions,” Brandi shared. “I want to have a glow-up.”
For now, Brandi is continuing treatment and giving fans a closer look at just how difficult the process has been behind the scenes.
