Zack Wickham is speaking out after his best friend Brittany Cartwright was granted a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband, Jax Taylor.
Following Brittany’s legal filing, Zack initially took to social media to defend her decision and shut down anyone questioning why she moved forward with the restraining order now.
“I am proud a Brittany taking a stand in her life against the person who makes her life hell daily,” Zack wrote.
He continued, “For all of the people who want to say why now, including Jax and Lori in their statement, it’s because she did give him a chance to change after rehab and was hoping for his son sake that he would.”
Zack acknowledged Jax’s sobriety but claimed the issue goes beyond that.
“If he has stayed sober as he has said, good for him on that part,” Zack wrote. “But I guess that wasn’t the issue then. Because his behavior is still harassing and unstable as ever.”
Zack also pushed back against the argument that Brittany’s filing only referenced past behavior.
“Yes there is documentation of past behavior from years ago but there are also examples in the documents from two days ago CUZ HE HASNT CHANGED,” Zack wrote.
He ended his statement by saying Brittany felt she had no other choice.
“She moved forward with this to protect herself and her son because she saw no other way,” Zack added. “Everyone saying otherwise can kick rocks.”
Brittany’s filing included disturbing allegations against Jax, including claims that he threatened to “gut” her “like a fish,” fat-shamed her, degraded her in front of their son Cruz and subjected her to years of alleged emotional, financial and psychological abuse.
Jax has since responded to the restraining order, saying he takes responsibility for mistakes he made during what he called the darkest period of his life, while also stating that he disputes some of the allegations and will address them in court.
But Zack is not buying the tone of Jax’s statement.
After Jax released his response, Zack appeared to accuse Jax’s current girlfriend, Lori Krebs, of being behind the wording.
“Lori sounds almost coherent here,” Zack wrote.
Lori Krebs is Jax and Brittany’s former publicist, who has since been romantically linked to Jax following his split from Brittany. That relationship has raised eyebrows among fans, especially because Lori was once connected to both Jax and Brittany professionally before becoming involved with Jax personally.
Zack also suggested that there is more to Lori’s past feelings about Jax than the public currently knows.
Taking to Threads, Zack wrote, “I feel like we should release texts from her about Jax over the years so you can get an idea how she hated him, spilled all his tea, thought he was gross, wanted Britt away from him, etc so then everyone could see just how bamboozled we were. Cuz she knew everything.”
Zack’s comments suggest he believes Lori previously had a very different opinion of Jax before becoming romantically involved with him.
His post also adds another messy layer to an already explosive situation.
Brittany was recently granted a temporary restraining order against Jax after alleging years of “coercive control, financial abuse, emotional and psychological abuse, gaslighting and even physical violence.”
She also alleged that Jax called her degrading names including “fat ass bitch,” “fatty,” “broke ass bitch” and “whore,” including in front of their son Cruz.
Brittany has since briefly spoken out, thanking fans for their support and saying, “I’m OK.”
Jax, meanwhile, has said he is focused on sobriety, therapy, mental health and being the best father he can be to Cruz. He also said he will respect the court’s orders and the legal process.
But Zack’s latest comments make it clear that Brittany’s inner circle is not staying silent.
Between defending Brittany’s decision to seek protection, accusing Lori of sounding like she helped craft Jax’s statement and threatening to release old texts allegedly showing how Lori used to feel about Jax, Zack is making it known that he believes there is much more to the story.
And if those alleged texts ever come out, this already messy divorce battle could get even uglier.
