Gina Kirschenheiter is opening up about her complicated dynamic with Heather Dubrow.
The Real Housewives of Orange County star spoke to Decider about what fans can expect this season, including an upcoming moment where she and Heather appear to get into it.
When asked about the teaser for this week’s episode and whether fighting with Heather is as intimidating as fighting with Tamra Judge, Gina made it clear that going head-to-head with Fancy Pants is not exactly fun.
“No, fighting with Fancy Pants is the worst,” Gina admitted.
Gina explained that despite being very close with Heather, the two still find themselves clashing year after year.
“Every year, there’s always something that happens,” Gina said. “We’re very close, and I don’t know why we clash sometimes.”
According to Gina, part of their tension may come from the fact that they both have strong New York personalities.
“Maybe because we’re both New Yorkers,” Gina said.
She then explained how their disagreements tend to snowball.
“She’ll do something, and then I just can’t let it go,” Gina shared. “Or I do something, and she just can’t let it go.”
Gina admitted that fighting with Dubrow is not something she enjoys.
“It’s not my favorite thing,” she said.
The RHOC star also joked that despite trying to stay out of the drama, she always somehow finds herself right in the middle of it.
“I feel like I try so hard to stay out of everything, but then I’m like, ‘Why am I so involved?’” Gina said.
She added, “Maybe that’s the East Coast in me. We have to say what we think.”
Gina and Heather’s friendship has had plenty of ups and downs over the years. While the two often appear to have a genuine connection, their strong personalities have also led to tension, misunderstandings and the occasional blowup.
