Milania Giudice has enrolled in anger management classes following her domestic violence arrest earlier this year.
The 20-year-old daughter of Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice appeared virtually in Montville Township Municipal Court on Tuesday, where her attorney, Alan Kraminsky, told the judge he had met with the prosecutor in the case.
According to Kraminsky, the prosecutor requested that the hearing be postponed so Milania could complete an anger management course.
The judge also noted that the state still needs to review discovery and speak with officers involved in the case. A new court date was granted for September 29.
Milania was arrested on May 14 at Teresa and Luis “Louie” Ruelas’ New Jersey home following what authorities described as a domestic violence dispute.
During Milania’s arraignment last month, the judge alleged that she “did knowingly cause bodily injury to another, specifically by striking the victim, LR, in the head with her fist, causing redness to the middle of the victim’s forehead, during a domestic dispute in violation of … a disorderly person’s offense.”
At the time, the judge informed Milania that if she is found guilty, her sentence could include up to six months in jail, probation and fines of more than $500.
According to the Montville Township Police Department arrest report, Milania was allegedly “throwing food [and] candles” during the incident.
The report also stated that Teresa’s daughter Gabriella Giudice was identified as the reporting party. Gabriella reportedly called 911 shortly before 6:15 p.m. and told police that her “sister [was] acting erratically.”
Authorities noted that no weapons were involved in the incident.
Milania previously appeared in court virtually for her arraignment, where she entered a not guilty plea.
The latest court update comes as Milania and the Giudice family have been navigating a difficult period both publicly and privately.
Milania has not publicly addressed the anger management classes at this time.
Her next court date is scheduled for September 29.
