Kyle Richards says things are still not in a great place with Dorit Kemsley.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star opened up about where she stands with Dorit after their friendship continued to fracture during Season 15.
While attending The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th launch event on Tuesday, August 4, at The Lobster Club in New York City, Kyle told Us Weekly that she has not heard from Dorit since the season ended.
“If I’m coming back, let’s just say that part first,” Kyle said when asked about possibly repairing their friendship on RHOBH.
Kyle then made it clear that if she does return, she would be willing to work things out with Dorit.
“You know that I would repair things with Dorit,” Kyle shared. “I would like to be able to put that behind us and start over and maybe get some things off my mind, some things that people had done and said this last season.”
Kyle also revealed that she did reach out to Kemsley after the release of Dorit’s memoir, Unburdened, which came out in June.
According to Kyle, she contacted Dorit to congratulate her on the book, but did not hear back.
“Other than that, no, I haven’t heard from her or anything,” Kyle said.
Despite the distance between them, Kyle said Dorit still matters to her.
“It’s sad to me because, you know, I did care about her, and I do care about her and her family,” Kyle shared.
Kyle also said she wishes she and Dorit could have leaned on each other more, especially because both women have been dealing with major personal struggles.
“I just feel like we’re both going through so much and that we would have been much better off leaning on each other,” Kyle said.
Kyle and Dorit’s friendship has been rocky for the last few seasons.
Their issues became more obvious during RHOBH Season 13, when Dorit expressed that she felt Kyle was prioritizing other friendships over her. During that season, Dorit also shared a private text message from Kyle on camera, which created even more tension between them.
In the message, Kyle admitted that it “bothers” her to be in a “weird place” with Dorit.
“They don’t even know we are going through a hard time so I don’t see the need to bring it up there,” Kyle wrote in the message. “I should have said something sooner but I honestly haven’t been strong enough. But relationships and YOU are more important to me than RHOBH.”
The tension carried into Season 14, with Kyle making it clear that she was upset Dorit showed their private messages on camera.
Since then, both women have gone through very public marital struggles.
Kyle and Mauricio Umansky separated in 2023 after 27 years of marriage, while Dorit and PK Kemsley separated in May 2024 and later entered a messy divorce battle.
