Kandi Burruss may always be part of The Real Housewives of Atlanta legacy, but she is not rushing to get her peach back.
During a new episode of Speak On It, Kandi confirmed that she has been asked about returning to RHOA, but for now, her answer is no.
While discussing whether she would ever rejoin the Bravo hit, Kandi made it clear that she loves the Bravo audience and fans, but returning to Housewives is not currently on her list of priorities.
“Now, what I will say about it is I love the audience of Bravo. I love the fans and all of that,” Kandi said. “So, I wouldn’t say never, but that’s not on my bucket list right now.”
Kandi explained that she has too many other goals she wants to focus on, and she feels going back to RHOA could get in the way of those bigger plans.
“Like, right now, I have so many other dreams and goals,” Kandi continued. “And I don’t think, I think being on the show would be blocking me from going after the other, bigger things that I want to do.”
When her co-host, The DJAone, asked if Bravo had actually asked her to come back, Kandi confirmed the offer was real.
“But have they asked you to come back?” The DJAone asked.
“Yeah, they have,” Kandi replied.
“And you told them no?” The DJAone asked.
“Mm-hmm,” Kandi confirmed.
Kandi’s comments come as fans continue to speculate about the future of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and who may be part of Season 18.
There has already been major chatter surrounding the cast, especially after rumors surfaced about potential returns and exits. NeNe Leakes’ name has also been in the mix after she was announced as part of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th, which marked her return to the Bravo universe after several years away.
However, recent reports have claimed that no official Season 18 contracts have gone out yet and that no final casting decisions have been made.
Kandi’s confirmation that she was asked to return adds another layer to the conversation, especially since she was one of RHOA’s longest-running and most successful Housewives.
Kandi joined The Real Housewives of Atlanta in Season 2 and remained on the show for 14 consecutive seasons before announcing her exit ahead of Season 16. Throughout her time on the show, viewers watched her expand her businesses, navigate friendships and family drama, and build a massive empire outside of Bravo.
Since leaving RHOA, Kandi has continued working on music, acting, producing, Broadway projects, business ventures and more.
