Heather Dubrow is not apologizing for being wealthy.
The Real Housewives of Orange County star is clapping back after Vicki Gunvalson questioned how Heather and her husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, built their fortune.
During an interview with Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea, Heather addressed Vicki’s claim that she and Terry inherited their money following the death of Terry’s brother, Quiet Riot frontman Kevin Dubrow.
“It’s just not true,” Heather said.
The drama was addressed during the RHOC Season 20 premiere, where Heather confronted Vicki about the claim. However, Vicki seemingly doubled down in her confessional, pointing out that doctors “don’t live in $40 million mansions.”
Vicki also sarcastically questioned whether Heather’s “Emmy-award acting” was the reason behind her wealth.
When asked about Vicki’s shady confessional, Heather said it showed her something.
“To me, when you do things like that, that says something,” Heather said.
Heather then explained that she and Terry have both worked hard and built successful careers.
“We’ve also done well, we’ve made good investments, we have the successful businesses that we do,” Heather shared.
Heather made it clear that she is not going to apologize for how she and Terry have handled their money.
“So, am I supposed to apologize that we are smarter and maybe more clever with our investments and money?” Heather asked. “I’m not sorry.”
Heather and Terry have also made major money through real estate.
In 2022, the couple sold their famous Newport Beach mansion, known as Chateau Dubrow, for $55 million. In 2025, they also sold their Beverly Hills mansion for $16.5 million after initially listing it for $25 million.
When it comes to the ongoing claim that Terry inherited money from his late brother Kevin, Heather said she does not let it bother her much.
“I laugh, I roll my eyes. I don’t care. Think whatever you want,” Heather said.
However, Heather admitted that Terry was much more upset by the accusation.
She said Terry, who usually “lets most things roll off his back,” was “really pissed off.”
Terry also addressed Vicki’s comments while speaking to Virtual Reali-Tea at Heather’s Champs with Heather Dubrow event at the Four Seasons Hotel in Midtown Manhattan.
Terry called Vicki’s remarks about the origin of his wealth “insensitive” and “mean.”
“If you want to say that, fine. Say it. But bet me,” Terry said.
He then directly called out Vicki.
“Until you want to bet me $100,000 that I didn’t inherit a dime from my brother, shut up, Vicki. Leave it alone. You’re just wrong.”
Heather also reflected on her relationship with Vicki, admitting that while they have never been extremely close, they have generally gotten along over the years.
“Vicki and I, throughout the years, have never been close, close friends. But we really enjoy each other,” Heather explained.
Still, Heather said she has noticed a pattern with Vicki.
“What I find is when I’m with her, everything is great, and then out in the public, she has lots of different stories to tell.”
The latest back-and-forth is already adding major tension to RHOC Season 20, especially with Vicki returning full-time and Heather making it clear that she is not backing down when it comes to defending her family, her husband and the fortune they built.
